You can't undervalue the need for a real kids shoe store where the salespeople know how to measure your kids' feet and shoe options aren't trash. Runnin' Wild offers tons of name brand options without it being overwhelming (unlike DSW). The prices are reasonable considering the quality (love the socks). Great place for gifts as well.

Overdue to write a review for this place. The first time I came in thinking my son who was almost walking needed some upgraded shoes. The owner checked out the shoes he was wearing and said they were fine. I really appreciated his honesty. When he was ready for new shoes a few months later I knew I would come back. They were very patient and helped us find the perfect pair. They also went out of their way to open the door for me going out and coming in both times when I had the stroller. It’s the little things! Support local :)

Made an excursion from deep in Queens over to BK. Took my daughter here for her very first hair cut. She is 4 years old and was very nervous about the idea. We were both so happy with the outcome and she had the most wonderful experience with Gigi the Hairdresser. Gigi made her feel very relaxed and comfortable. She was patient and did a really great job with my daughters hair. The staff in the store are very friendly as well! We will be coming back - Highly recommend.

Looks like a good store for kids' shoes, if your kid is old enough to wear them. Owner is very nice and helpful.

Honestly amazing customer service! They packed and shipped my order same day allowing me to get a Christmas gift for my son here in time for the holiday that I could not get ANYWHERE else. They told me it would get here sometime this week and it showed up today, two days after I placed my order. I can’t say enough amazing things, thanks so much for saving the day for me!!

We love it here! So pleased to support a local business and we really appreciate the wonderful collection of toys. Plus, if you get a haircut it's the best. The store is wonderful and we don't know what we would do without it. Highly recommend. Thank goodness for a brick and mortar toy store.

Amazing customer service! Packed and shipped my order same day, I received my package two days later. The shipping time itself took such a weight off during this holiday season and the toy they sent was one that was impossible to find locally here in VT, or anywhere online and have it here in time for Christmas. Highly recommend!!!

So I took my daughter back to that store to get a hair cut. I got very disappointed when the NEW lady who doe the hair told me she won't take my daughter because we arrived late and she has other costumers. We were late for 20 min. Her appointment was at 12. She told if I want to wait, but she doesn't guarantee that she will have a time to do my daughter's hair. I have been bringing my kids to that place since 2017. Margret was an angel. She always maneuver her schedule and she never turned her customers away just because they arrived late. The owner doesn't even care about his/her customers. The owner doesn't care if the costumer leaves the store satisfied or not. All he/she cares about the money. I wont spend another dime at that store. If I were the owner of the store I would care about my costumers more than if ppl follow a proper Covid guidelines. I would more care if my costumer are getting good costumer service or if they leaving store satisfied or not. The owner should be ashamed because even one costumer can make a difference. I took my daughter to the other place. Other place was more professional and they showed excellent costumer service skills. Sorry not sorry. The costumer service went down at that toy store since they opened up again.

We live on the Upper West Side, which has a lot of kids' shoe stores, but none of them are nearly as well curated as Runnin' Wild (we biked here on a friend's recommendation after a picnic in BB Park). Every pair of shoes in here is stylish and comfortable - my 3-year-old and 8-year-old both left happy. The chances of your kids falling in love with something hideous are greatly reduced if not eliminated here. Staff is awesome. The physical store itself (and the signage outside) weren't quite as stylish as the toys and shoes inside, so if I were just walking by it would be hard to tell what treasures lay inside. Would recommend some splurging on lighting and decor if possible

My wife and I stopped by after brunch today hoping to find a good pair of shoes for our 1yr old baby girl. Honestly it's been hard finding stylish shoes that fit. The manager/owner helped us out by first measuring her foot and then bringing up a few options. While she admitted to not having a large variety at the moment she assured us that she would have a larger selection by weeks end. Interestingly enough she brought l a beautiful lot of nikes that had a pink trim and we absolutely loved them! Decent price and really great quality you come to expect from Nike. We will def be back here for some more sneakers as the season progresses. Ps- they have a deal card that gets stamped and after buying 8 pairs you get the 9th one half off!

There selection is definitely limited but I'm sure if you were looking for a present wouldn't be too hard to find something. The staff is awesome... this is probably the only store I would come back to on Mel rose!
