Last week Rainbow Movers moved my 3 bedroom apartment and everything was outstanding. They use a 4-man crew and everyone on it was hardworking, friendly and very efficient. They’re careful, well prepared, and have great teamwork. Also important is that their rates are very reasonable. Always beware of super cheap movers, who will often give you a final price that’s way more than the one they originally quoted you. With Rainbow, the final price was exactly the same as the quoted one. The owner Larry is honest, smart, and knows what he’s doing. I wouldn’t think twice about using Rainbow again. Simply excellent.

If you catch the owner on a good day when he is in control of himself then you might get a good move. He can be charming on the phone in order to win you over and get the job. Just hope everything goes well with no mistakes so you won't have to be berated and bullied. Moving is stressful enough without adding to the misery. Good luck.

Larry and his movers were professional, early, finished the job beautifully, on time and charged me the estimated quote, and they are insured!! Living in NYC for over 30 years and have moved 12 times within the city, I highly recommend Rainbow movers. You can trust them. That’s number 1 in NYC!

We've used Rainbow Movers for our last three moves, and have had consistently positive experiences. Our recent move (September 2022) took us from a house in New Jersey to an apartment in Chicago. Unlike the large national van lines, which treat moves in a commoditized way, Rainbow customized its service. This entailed conducting an onsite visit to understand our needs prior to preparing an estimate, providing a fixed fee quote (no surprises), planning for two trucks that were sized to work within the constraints of the apartment we were moving into, and deploying a crew that stayed consistent from the beginning to the end of our five-day move. Robert and his crew (John, Anthony, Darryn, KK, and Johan) were terrific - on time, organized, hard-working, creative in getting large objects through small spaces, and pleasant under stress. The owner of the business, Larry Patterson, took personal responsibility for the execution of the job. He was easy to reach; he not only listened to but also addressed our concerns. We felt like we were in good hands at every step and are therefore happy to provide this reference.

I had a small from from my office in Manhattan to my home in Brooklyn. I had used Rainbow Movers years ago and called on them again. Although management had changed, I received the great service that I remembered. It was a bit expensive since there is a minimum charge and mine was a job that lasted less than two hours including travel back to Brooklyn, but in the end it was worth it. Larry was incredibly responsive and the guys that did the actual move were very professional.

I had a large and difficult move ahead of me. Larry came to do a free assessment and immediately put me at ease with his obvious experience and intelligent strategizing. The move went off without a hitch. Crew was great, and the whole experience was much calmer than I had anticipated. I highly recommend this company!

We moved with Rainbow a couple of weeks ago and I want to share our experience with Larry, Robert and the crew. Larry was incredibly professional, responsive and thoughtful as he walked our home to give us an estimate, and he even showed up on moving day to make sure that we were comfortable... Robert and the guys were great. They moved our things quickly and carefully, and maintained their good spirits even as they carried our sectional up 3 flights of stairs. They finished up earlier than expected so the entire job came in under budget. I would highly recommend them and we will definitely use them in the future for our next move!

Hi Guys, look no further than this moving company. I have moved many times in my life and had many bad experiences. Larry and his team were the most professional and experienced crew I've ever seen and the price was really good too. Three weeks before my move I injured myself and we couldnt even pack up. They came packed up our stuff, got things we had from storage, and moved us in under 6 hours. I was blown away. My cousin used them as well and had the same experience. Use them you won't regret it.

I have used Rainbow about 5 times in the last 10 years. It is hard to find a good mover in NYC and Rainbow is an absolute lifesaver. They’ve moved me for great rates locally in NY and just recently executed a full cross country move for me.. remotely. They went into my NY apt; packed and moved everything, cleaned out my storage unit, and drove the truck to Chicago for me. Larry handled all the logistics for me, and was an incredible partner. Such a nice guy, was 25% less expensive than other cross country movers (allied, two men, etc). Dead on time, always answered the phone, totally reliable. Can’t say enough about this incredibly well run small business. Thank you Larry and Rainbow!

This is my second time using Rainbow Movers. Larry and his team did both time a great job. They are on time, responsible and both time did the move in less time than anticipated. I kept my whole apartment in storage for a summer (3 floors!) and Rainbow movers packed perfectly and unpacked and reassembled furniture with a breeze and in perfect condition. I can only highly recommend them.

Larry and his team were extremely professional and made our move a breeze, couldn't be happier.They were on time and actually finished earlier than expected.I've moved quite a few times in the past few years and this was by far the most relaxed move I had, would recommend Rainbow Movers to anyone!
