I've been a member of Planet Fitness for a while now, and I couldn't be happier. The gym is spacious, always clean, and has a wide variety of equipment. I rarely have to wait for machines, even during busy times.The staff, including the manager, are friendly and helpful, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and comfortable. Plus, the membership price is very reasonable. For anyone looking for a great gym with excellent facilities and affordable rates, I highly recommend Planet Fitness.

Too many people and you hardly can get around the gym. Plus some of the women be smelling really bad... Most of the time l go to this gym l have to throw my short pants and underwears in the gym garbage because those machines chairs be smelling like a damn rotten fish market!!!!!!!!

Dirty place, like they never cleaned it. Bathrooms are out of service too often. Employees are unknowledgeable and unwilling,. The manager is even worst, 25 minutes late and 20 extra minutes to find parking for her hooptie, when finally arrives she looks at me , says "no" and walks away. Please do not choose this location or PF at all!

This gym started off bad and got so much worse: super trashy, always disgustingly packed and impossible to get machines… it’s making me want to switch out of planet but there aren’t any great competitors in the area

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from one of your front desk staff members at Planet Fitness As a frequent visitor, nearly attending daily, I expect a certain level of professionalism and courtesy, which has unfortunately not been met.On multiple occasions, including the most recent incident when I briefly paused at the gym entrance to smoke after coming down from the upper floor. I was rudely approached by this staff member, who insisted in a condescending and mocking tone that I needed to check in each time I went outside and then re-entered, despite not leaving the gym's premises. I found this requirement unreasonable and sought clarification from other staff members, who confirmed that re-checking in was unnecessary if I remained within sight of the gym staff.This is not an isolated event. I have noticed, and my peers have similarly reported, that this particular employee frequently engages in such behavior, which is disruptive and creates an unwelcoming atmosphere.This incident is part of a recurring pattern of behavior from this employee, suggesting possible racial or gender bias, though I am uncertain. This behavior has not only targeted me but has also affected others, creating an unwelcoming and uncomfortable atmosphere.I urge the management to thoroughly investigate this matter and consider retraining or reevaluating staff protocols to ensure they are uniformly enforced without discrimination. Ensuring that all members feel welcomed and respected, without fear of biased treatment.I kindly request to handle this issue promptly to ensure that all members are treated with respect and dignity. I look forward to your response and resolutions.

Not bad. I've heard a lot of bad reviews of this place but I still wanted to go. I'm a beginner, so it was good for me. The only bad thing is the Lockers. They are for sure NOT SAFE. I left my things there, like wallets, keys and that stuff. Everything was good UNTIL one day I got stolen. My wallet and all my stuff disappeared. I didn't have a lot of money on it but things like credit cards, and some other things were important to me. I hope they fix that so it cannot happen again to me or someone else.

As far as space, this is the WORST and smallest planet fitness I have ever been to. It gets extremely crowded no matter what time you go and the lack of space and strength training equipment is shameful. Subsequent to the lack of space and the crowdedness, the air quality gets horrible from body odor and low air circulation. This is also the only planet fitness I know that doesn’t allow you to use the elevator yet has 3-4 floors which is extremely inaccessible and inconvenient for all. I try my best to avoid coming to this gym but unfortunately it’s the only one in the sunset park area, please add another one to the area. As far as staff, they are very friendly and I have never had an issue with any of the members!

Planet Fitness in Sunset Park is an affordable, convenient place on Fifth Avenue to workout. The hours are amazing, it opens early and closes pretty late. For $20 a month you can bring a guest every time. It’s much cheaper than the Y or Crunch, and the guest policy is very generous. The gym is clean and has a variety of machines available. I love the bikes with videos of biking trails. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing I would change is that even with black membership, you have to ask staff at the front every time you want to use the massage chairs, and they only give you a small amount of time to use them, even if the gym is empty. They should allow you to swipe your card at the machine or give you more time to use them. Thank you for considering this idea, and creating a great space to workout. I love coming here.

It seems overcrowded than when it first opened, so now you have to wait longer to use equipment since people think they own all the weights, barbells and dumbbells at one time. Many people also drop weights here and don't really care about the lunk alarm when it goes off either because they don't read or speak the language. An announcement both in English and Spanish after the alarm goes off would probably help with that. It. Definitely was better.
