Ok look, I come here SO often and I generally love it, but today, today I left with a bad taste in my mouth. I had a somewhat full cart as I normally do, and one of the skirts I had picked up didn’t have a tag on it. Upon checking out I showed the cashier, thinking they would do a reasonable price. Note that this skirt is a Victoria’s Secret PINK skort with visible wear that looks like it’s from 2014/2015. It’s not new whatsoever, light staining, and I wanted to buy so I could workout in it. Nothing special, seriously. The cashier hands it to the pricer guy who was very sassy and acted like he didn’t want to price it because he was “SO BUSY AT THE MOMENT”. I waited of course thinking it would come back priced like some of their other items on the rack ranging from $4.95- 6.95. He comes back and hands it off to the cashier who tells me it’s $11.97 LOL EXCUSE ME. The dress I had in my cart for $12.97 was online retailed at $300 but because a used skirt didn’t have a price he thought he could pull one over on me. The disrespect, the greed, the pompous attitude. Everyone is always so nice, except this one individual who I have seen be sassy on more than one occasion. I’m sorry, there’s just NO excuse for the price he gave.He saw an opportunity and decided to be nasty instead of understand his place and setting. Disturbed, truly

Like the place and great to have for drop offs in area but where are the community events that it’s supporting? I checked site a couple of times and don’t see anything.

this place was great when it began, its not great anymore. pricing is too high and often for damaged items. i like these kind of stores because i prefer to buy pre owned items but when it becomes the same price for damaged pre owned items i prefer a big box store.examples- cashmere sweater with hole in the front (not easily repairable) $15- chipped dip serving dish glassware $15

A wonderful thrift shop and community gem. They sell clothes, shoes, furniture, jewelry, houseware (plates, cups, silverware, appliances), bags, games, books, and so much more. I’ve purchased a matching dish set here, a retro 90’s windbreaker, several other jackets, a purse, a platter, books, and more. I’ve donated items after cleaning out my home, too. The prices are extremely affordable and fair.I love that it is a community space. I noticed some of the associates speak other languages like Arabic and Spanish, which is super helpful.

Message for the manager: Check the toys section, I don't know if you decided to increase the prices or the person who is in charge doesn't estimate well but definitely it's no more affordable for used/broken toys. Thank you

Kind and friendly staff + random cool finds = great spot! Not a giant selection of clothing (for Menswear specifically) but it's a smaller store, so no biggie there. I'm a fiend for CDs and DVDs, so I always walk away with a lil' something special. Happy to support these folks anytime!

Great selection of clothing, very well organized. In the back there was tons of children’s toys, puzzles, books, and small gadgets. I got 2 shirts for $8. They also have special tags that are 40% off which was great.Cashier was very friendly! She smiled, greeted me, and we had a short conversation. Great thrift store with great staff 10/10.

This is currently the only thrift store in Bay Ridge. It gets quite busy on the weekends, and the rounder racks make navigating a crowded store a bit of a pain. When they have a lot of inventory they pack the round racks which is not ideal because the internal circumference of the rounder is smaller than the outside, which makes them very tight and difficult to look through. They also use cheap lightweight velvet flocked hangers which aren't strong enough to hold pants on. The result is that it can be very messy and chaotic at times. Having said that, the staff is super nice and I've found some very nice things there from time to time. They don't seem to have a section for athletic wear or men's jackets, but I love that they separate the formal wear out from the regular dresses. It's a smallish shop, so it's easy to look through everything you might be interested in without taking your whole day.

The store honestly has some the best selection in Bay Ridge! Fair price, great selection and friendly service. Highly recommended popping in something.

Honestly so easy to donate and cute clothes. Other than that they have Saturday dollar bins which is exciting. They have made the place more organized since my last visit. There is one available dressing room and the prices on the clothing seem more than fair. I don’t think they should sell clothes that have been overused but I understand since they have more clothes than they can fit in the location. Having to check every clothing that is donated is a hassle so I recommend that the CONSUMER checks their articles of clothing to make sure it works fine and in good condition to match their standards. Remember this is a thrift store, aka used clothes.

Based on my recent experience at the returns counter in Piece by Piece thrift store, I feel compelled to write this review. I went to the returns counter on December 15, 2022, to return some items I had purchased. However, the customer service I received from Jana was unsatisfactory. She was more interested in what the cashier and other customers were doing than attending to me, and it took her an unnecessary ten minutes to check my items as she kept joining in on a conversation about a return that was happening next to me.Moreover, she refused to return one of my items because it did not have a tag, but I had a receipt and copy of credit card statement When I asked her if there was anything she could do, she simply said no and didn't offer any solutions. I eventually had to ask to speak to a manager, who stepped in and helped resolve the issue.Throughout the interaction, Jana was argumentative and unhelpful, and I felt discriminated against based on my race/ethnicity. The behavior of Jana and MD, who threw receipts on the table and spoke in a language I did not understand, was unprofessional and showed a lack of customer service skills. I hope the management and leadership take note of their behavior and take steps to improve the quality of customer service at the store.
