Not only were their paint prices lower than their competitors, but the woman and tall gentleman both took time to offer tips and advice for prepping the walls and applying paint.”

“We could have not had a better time dealing with our sales rep, Narciso Biggs! He immediately greeted us like a friend and proceeded to ask us what took us in today without any pressure. Me and my girlfriend wanted to look at paint colors for our first apartment together and he took us around explaining all the various colors and sheens they offered. We settled on two greens and we got ourselves samples to try out at my current place to see how they look in a room vs a small paint chip. We would 100% come back just for Narciso! Great guy who treats you like family!”
“They can match any color you can bring in! Give my man a few minutes, and he'll come back with the same color! He matched the paint that I couldn't find anywhere!”
“I've worked for multiple Gen. Contractors and construction companies throughout Brooklyn and the 5 boros every year, no matter what company and where I was always sent to pickup supplies from S&E! They have a great, helpful staff too. Parking a little wild but what else can you expect around the area lol almost a decade they've been holding it down”
“They're not that bad. It is difficult to get clear answers from them regarding their products. However, if you do your research before visiting, you should be fine. They do have a good range of products for a neighborhood store. And yes, it's great to support a local business.”
“This place to buy a paint the person he has so much knowledge that paints he will recommend you anything really good for the project price is great customer service outstanding in and out easy parking. He have all kind of brushes, all kind of caulking, all kind of paint tools, don’t miss out satisfaction guarantee I am loving it”

605 4th Ave, Brooklyn“The staff perfectly tinted primer for me (a task I thought was impossible because of the nature of the specific primer I needed), and gave me excellent advice that aided in the success of my mural project! I needed a lot of primer and they had it in stock, and other Benjamin Moore stores nearby didn’t. They also loaded the paint in my car. Amazing customer service!!!”
“Danny was very friendly and helpful. I needed to match the color from one of the walls that I did some work on, and when I called, he told me that I needed about a quarter piece of a sample, which I luckily had. When we questioned the color that the computer matched, he looked up on the computer what colors they mix for those types, and it was the same. After I painted it, it matched perfectly. It was also very nice to have a local store that was easy to get to. The paint buying experience at Home Depot can be painful, but at Sherwin Williams, it was smooth and quick. They also recycle old paint, which HD does not.”

As a true New Yorker, I lift my glass to Joe and the team.”

452 Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn“I recently had an exceptional experience at Clinton Hill Hardware store, thanks to a solutions-oriented employee who went above and beyond to address an issue that wasn't even his responsibility. After purchasing paint labeled as "distant gray," I found that it didn't meet my expectations when applied to the wall. The cashier initially informed me that nothing could be done, leaving me feeling frustrated. However, a Trinidadian gentleman with locs, who I believe was not directly involved with paint mixing, stepped in and took charge of the situation.Despite it not being his primary role, this employee demonstrated true dedication to customer satisfaction. He offered to personally mix the paint to adjust the color or even provided a tube to alter the shade. His willingness to find solutions instead of simply dismissing my concerns made all the difference. I should also add that the paint I ordered was a custom color, which I understand makes remixing a bit more complicated. Despite this, I was willing to take the risk and appreciated the employee's efforts to explore alternative solutions. This willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate a customer's needs speaks volumes about the commitment to service at Clinton Hill Hardware store. Without his intervention, I might have left the store with a negative impression. This level of service is what sets Clinton Hill Hardware store apart. It's reassuring to know that amidst the stress of construction projects, there are staff members who genuinely care about their customers' experiences. I'm immensely grateful to the Trinidadian gentleman for his assistance and commend his commitment to exceptional service. Thanks to him, I'll gladly continue to patronize Clinton Hill Hardware for all my construction needs.”
“wow the arabic woman was so helpful and nice! she was so patient helping me find the perfect candelabra bulb for my lamp. thank you so much for your help, will be back!”
“I've been doing business with this place for many years, the owner Jackie is great ? he always does right by me and his merchandise is good quality and lasts a long time. Thank You Jackie ?”
“Good quality paint overall. Prices are okay/not great, but at least it is convenient when you need something quick. I did a color match one time - it wasn’t the best, I wanted dark brown, got a similar dark purple. Other than that I would go back for supplies. It saves me a trip to Home Depot for only a small amount of savings.”
“Robert was able to get keys cut for me that I hadn’t been able to get done at other hardware stores in the area. Also was able to pick up paint supplies all at a decent price.”
“It is my favorite to go place in the whole NYC to buy paints. Whenever I come I always go straght to Sophiya, she is the most knowlegeable and professional specialist in thus entity. She is always helping me find the paint that best suits my needs be it a new design in my customer's apartment or some faux finish paint for restoration. I would definately recommend this place”
