Nice park, but dog owners need to keep their dogs in the circle, which is the designated area. Someone should be in this park to enforce the rules. I was working out on my mat and a dog proceeds to run up to me and stand on my mat and drop his ball in front of me, before you start, it was not in the circle. It was outside of the circle where humans are actually allowed to be. Of course, the owner began to preach about how his dog is friendly and yada yada yada, but that was besides the point. Now I know that sounds cute and everything, but I'm not a fan. And for that Mount Prospect Park you get two stars.

Came for a play date at the splash pad. Great playground with bathrooms. It's in partial shade too so the kiddos aren't getting blasted.

Great park and playground for kids. Unfortunately, dog owners have allowed their pets to take over...no leashes! Not cool.Dog-friendliness: Dog owners have to keep their animals on leashes, please. Just because you like dogs doesn't mean that others do. Especially little ones who display a great deal of fear around dogs and animals in general. Leashes folks!

The level of off leash violations all day in this park makes it unsafe for those of us who walk our dogs on leashes as the law requires. It is not a dog run. It is a park for people to be able to enjoy walking, running, biking and walking their dogs without concern they will be mauled, accosted or attacked by someone's dog. I have lived in the neighborhood for nearly 40 years and the level of disregard for leash laws is very troubling. There are specific hours that dogs can be off leash and they need to be honored. It is everyone's park, not only those with dogs. The off leash hours are 6-9 am and 9 pm-1 am. Please honor these.

I come here quite a bit with my toddler to the playground. The paths are pretty bumpy and patched up in places, and the lawn is basically a big dirt patch in places. The playground could also use some repair love, but that doesn't stop us from having a lot of fun. The playground is pretty good-sized and the water-spraying seal in is always a big hit with the kids in the summer. There's tire swings and regular swings, and public restrooms that aren't the worst I've ever seen.

It's a nice big Park, and a lot of cute dogs come to play over there, there's a nice playground for children, they are now doing some construction, and repaving some of the paths for bicycle riding a rollerblading.

For all intents and purposes, Mount Prospect is a dog park. It's right next to Prospect Park and the Botanic Garden, and, apart from the playground, it's not particularly well maintained. As a dog park, it's great; I just wish there was a gate and dogs were allowed between 9am and 9pm... That doesn't stop dogs from enjoying the park between those hours; it just makes doing so less comfortable/safe.

Lovely spot for a family picnic, safe kid biking or just to relax. The grass needs some work, but that's only because the community gets so much great use out of the grass area. There is also a nice playground for the littles among us.

Small, quaint and quietly tucked between the library and the museum. Great children's playground as well as open areas for picnics and relaxing.

Huge playground. Plenty of climbable options for your children. Lots of benches in the shade. Close proximity to the Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Restrooms available (really dirty, though). Ice-cold water coming from the water fountain! Thumbs up!

Too many owners with their dogs that take over the park in the morning. Used to be such a peaceful place to go any time of day. I should know I've been living in this neighborhood for 3 decades. Instead of keeping the dogs on the middle, owners stand around on the trail making it annoying to jog and walk on the trail.
