Key Food Supermarkets is a small neighborhood grocery store that offers lower prices and caters to a working-class clientele, particularly those interested in Caribbean and Latin products. Customers appreciate the availability of specialized items like salted fish, Latin cheese, tropical vegetables, and island coffee. However, some shoppers have expressed concerns about the freshness and quality of the meats, noting that they can taste off after cooking. While the store provides decent options for quick meals, the layout is described as cramped, making shopping less enjoyable for some. Customer service experiences vary, with some finding it lacking compared to larger competitors like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, which offer a more polished shopping experience. Despite its shortcomings, Key Food Supermarkets remains a convenient choice for regular grocery shopping, especially for customers seeking affordable prices and specific cultural foods. Overall, it serves as a practical option for everyday needs, even if it may not meet the expectations of those accustomed to more upscale grocery stores.
I love shopping at this Supermarket. They try to have things fresh. I wish though that they will take better care of their meats. Lately my meats taste a little off after cooking.
