Just had the smoothest matcha latte in the neighborhood at the Kuryu cafe. Can truly taste the matcha, which is wonderful! I've had many matcha lattes in the area and they're usually sugary or lumpy. Price point was comparable as other neighborhood cafes. Will be back!

Love this place. A hidden gem in the neighborhood, and super relaxing to stroll through. Very respectable selection of groceries, gifts, clothes, and art to browse, and the new cafe in here (Kuryu) has by far the best bentos I've had outside of Japan. There's real attention and care going into every single one of them. You may wait 5-10 minutes while they prepare it for you (they make them on the spot in my experience) but its definitely worth it. Besides, you have the rest of J+B to browse while you wait.I especially recommend the Gindara, Pork Katsu, and Yakiniku bentos, and I love the Napolitan Spaghetti that comes on the side.Don't sleep on this place!

I happened to find this place the other day and I was pleasantly surprised that they are selling Japanese groceries. Though I bought few snacks, the guy told me that they will expand the items in the near future. Yay! I don't need to go to Manhattan or industry city anymore.

After living in Tokyo I enjoy true authentic Japanese stores and restaurants. J+B Design/dainobu is just that place. A true local Japanese store, café and meeting place!

Love this cafe/salon/gift shop/gallery. This place has it all and does it all well. Such a chill atmosphere, nice place to pick up small gifts, great drinks and smoothies, and always an interesting exhibit. Everyone I bring here is impressed.

I went here and got their yuzu hot tea with honey. It is especially good for cold NYC days and reasonably priced! They use real yuzu citrus to steep and some edible remains at the bottom of the cup too! All in all a real easygoing relaxing place in the area of Brooklyn. You can even sit and enjoy it or browse the local Japanese merchandise while your tea cools.

Great coffee shop in the front of this place with comfortable seating and relaxing music. The staff are really nice and the lunch specials/drinks are really good. Nice place to sit and read or do some work. They also sell Japanese snacks and other goods. A little bit tucked away, but a great find!

My favorite cafe/design space/art gallery in park slope. Great drinks/art/gifts. It's like a one stop Japanese shop, and the staff are super friendly.
