I went in to receive assistance filing my taxes. At the conclusion of my appointment I was charged $368.00 for the tax preparer's services. Never was I made aware that filing my two W2s and two 1098's would result in a charge this steep. The website indicates rates start at $99 which I feel is deeply deceiving considering I paid almost 4x this amount. Additionally, my tax preparer was not transparent about how expensive her services would be until she had already filed my taxes and I then had no choice but to pay. When I called H&R Block and was able to speak with a different tax preparer after filing numerous complaints, he just told me rates start at $99 and I would receive a check for $68 (which I have yet to receive). H&R Block acted in an unscrupulous manner and I discourage anyone who values honesty from using their services.

I had applied my taxes refund on April 15,2022 right after applied. I was recruited to the navy forces until now that I finally have access to my phone I found out that I never received my tax refund and also I have no idea how is it that it’s another person bank account on my taxes report when I when over 3 times with MD Jamshed Mazumdar about my bank account. I been trying to contact the irs but it’s impossible to get to talk to someone and unfortunately I’m not at NY to go in person to fix this mess. Honestly I don’t know how this happened this is the second time I do my taxes with HR Block and it’s inaceptable whats going on now and nobody is available to help me because every time I call they keep telling me to call the irs!!! I had paid an insurance for both of my refunds that in any case something happens HR Block was responsible and have the obligation to help their costumers in any uncomfortable situation, in this case me. I kindly request someone to help me with this. Not even the email I was provided works…..I’m really disappointed with this office and HR Block in general.

good visit, had to wait 20 minutes even though i booked an appointment so it's a good thing i wasn't on a schedule. overall was fine though. i usually do my taxes online by myself with no issues but because i had two jobs, unemployment, and IRA savings in 2020 i didn't want to mess anything up. $135 feels a little expensive but i guess it's not that bad all things considered
