Crazy expensive. What is the point to thrifting?

I like what they do for “charity” but the sales associate was very pushy to my disabled client trying to get her to by a membership even though I said No a bunch of times on her behalf.
$120 is not cheap either for said membership.

I wouldn’t classify this as a thrift store. This is more like an eBay store where they get donated gifts for free and price match their prices to roughly around the top dollar price for the same used goods on eBay. This growing trend with corporate thrift stores such as Goodwill, Salvation Army, Housing Works and other conglomerate companies that receive free donations and in return price gouge their own clientele who are there to shop on a budget is the quintessential American way of screwing over the consumer. Just look at how much money Housing Works is making on their dispensary. It costs roughly $400,000 to $1,000,000 to operate and start a dispensary. Do you really need to price gouge thrift store clientele to keep up with the market. These companies need to be reclassified as resell flea markets and not as thrift stores. No this comment won’t change their prices but maybe someone else will see it who is unaware of this growing change in this industry and maybe just maybe that can be a snow ball effect into bigger change. #bringbackrealthriftstores

The top of the line for thrift shops that support nonprofits. Great for books, kitchenware and dishware, knick-knacks (of course!). I bought a great birdsong battery-operated clock, still in the box, for $4.00 (Okay, that was pre-pandemic.) Love everything about housing works: well-run store, friendly staff, very good quality items, great cause (helping people with AIDS).

Not a huge selection of clothing, but good for dresses, shoes, small housewares/tableware, and books.

Have definitely reviewed them before, but I can't find it. It's Park Slope, so you get some pretty good selection of stuff here. Not the biggest place, and prices have gone up a bunch (as is the case with a lot of thrift stores), but still a good place to just look around. Great staff!

LOL at their prices. $50 for a worn off-brand sweater. $30 for wrangler work pants that barely cost more new.

This was a cool place . It had decent selections. I would have liked to see more okie sizes but they have nice shirts and dresses especially for smaller size women . I really liked their kitchen section . I got this cute mug for 2 bucks and this plate for $10 . I also got this beautiful dress for $25 bucks . It is on the more expensive side of thrift but it's well Kept clothing and kitchen stuff which I loved . The reason why I took off stars was the size of it . It's pretty small so everyone was just like brushing last each other which was annoying. I would come back though but on a less busier day .

Love this place so much! They have several locations but this one is one of the Best! The staff is super knowledgeable, the management is superb! Totally immersed and devoted to keeping things running as best as they can be. This spot has some amazzzzzing auctions, and the proceeds go to charity. Get in on it, you might get lucky

Their jewelry selection and housewares is *spectacular*. Lots of MCM pottery and silver. A bit more expensive than "thrift" but cheaper than a vintage boutique but it goes to a good cause so I'm happy to pay a little more (plus it's a very well curated store). Always worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood. Staff is always very nice and helpful.

My favorite thrift store for sure! The clothes are great, big variety…. But they also have an ever changing collection of furniture , artwork, jewelry, and home goods! They are stocked up by donations that are regularly dropped off by locals. Clearly the neighborhood has good peeps!!If that wasn’t enough they have a wonderful staff! So helpful, so charming… I want to work there myself just for those good vibes they give. You guys rock! Thanks for being amazzzzing!!
