“Best place in the area to buy produce! Lots of seasonal and exotic fruits, I get to eat fresh lychee all summer from here. Great prices on fruit and lots of sales so I can stock up and freeze extras. They also have an in-house butcher but sometimes they don’t do the best job at cutting the meats. Still, good prices on meat and I still buy it from here if I’m short on time. Good snack and instant noodle selection as well, I rarely go to supermarkets because Uncle Steve’s already has just about everything!”
“Nice place . Past two years whenever we are in Brooklyn we shop here in this store for our Indian cooking needs. Well laid out and labelled unlike other Bangladesh shops in the neighbourhood!”

3802 13th Ave, Brooklyn“A wonderful friendly family owned store for all my needs. Great laffa, and malawa made fresh all the time. I travel to this store specifically for their best tasting olives in town. Been going there for over 35 years! You must try the hot or fresh laffa wrap, it's amazing !”
“Obsessed with this little coffee shop full of heart and delicious food. Sandwiches are delicious, and coffee is fab. This place has a comfy outdoor sitting area and free WiFi. Not to mention literally all the vegan products you can want and need. From pizza to marshmallows and seasonal treats (vegan panettone for xmas!?).”
“Businesses like this are what make Greenpoint so special. Archestratus is a rare gem that brings community together and creates an authentic place to shop, eat and hang in the neighborhood. I always pop in when I need a special gift for a friend or some fresh groceries for home. Paige is so sweet and creative and puts a lot of love into the space.”
“My parents grew up coming here for lunch when they were in high school down the street in the 90’s. Growing up they brought me here all the time & whenever we’ve moved out and back to nyc, it’s a ‘last stop’ while simultaneously being a ‘first stop’. Best chicken parmigiana in all of Brooklyn & those potato wedges? Unlike anything from anywhere else. I recently popped back into the city for work and made sure I paid them a visit & every time I visit the store feels emptier but the kitchen in the back is always filled with energy and all the deliciousness. Seriously, you’ll not be disappointed with this deli for its hot food. Just remember to have plenty of cash!!”
“I think they need to go down on the prices. This store was opened about 40 Years ago. Made for people that have a large family, A Rebbe or someone that learns in Kollel. The prices the was unbelievable cheap to according the Local stores. It's time to bring this store back and help out the local Family's.”
“This is one of the larger Trader Joe's in New York City, so it has a lot more products than other places. I love their fresh flowers and every employee is so passionate about making a good purchase.”
“i love this shop of thoughtfully-curated gifts. the cozy space feels whimsical & warm, and i always find lovely things here. + so excited they now have coffee!”

I got the Al pastor burrito toro bravo (rice beans pico jalapeño cheese) and it’s one of the best burritos I’ve had in NYC.Also their chips are so fresh and salsa (which they sell separately if you want a little jar) is so good—flavorful and smokey and fresh. Can’t wait to come back.”
“Worth a trip just for the sorrel and ginger beer, both delicious and available in large sizes. Sorrel in particular is among the best I’ve had, not too sweet and all the spices come through. Great selection of spices and seasoning blends too.”

“I Love This Store! They have the cheapest, good quality fruits and veggies. I’m talking a pint of blueberries for a dollar. And the guys who work here are friendly. They have everything you might need plus a juice bar.”
“I love it, I always go to this specific place, this address, why? Everything is always organized, easy to select, it is a clean and spacious place. Has. Everything and at a very good price. You find different organic foods, of good quality. The employees are very friendly and it has a variety of plants.”
“Wonderful gem of a store! The owners are so kind. It feels like another country, but very inviting. Many items that would make great gifts. I will stop here every time I'm in the area.”
“Exceptional grocery store experience! Wide variety of fresh produce, quality meats, and diverse products. Clean and well-organized aisles make shopping a breeze. Staff is friendly and helpful. Specials and discounts add value. This store consistently meets my expectations, making it my go-to choice."”
“Excellent produce , fresh and good, and an array of well considered good products and policies. I appreciate the plastic free packaging initiatives for example. Only members can shop here, and all members commit to working a three hour cooperative shift every six weeks (sign up is easy and online) stocking shelves for example or bagging and weighing bulk products. Easy enough , somewhat enjoyable, often educational .”

4202 5th Ave, Brooklyn“Hidden gem. It can be difficult to find good Mexican supplies sometimes. So nice to have found a place where we can swing in and get fresh tortillas at a great price rather than doing all the work of making them at home. Staff is super cool too.”
8:30AM - 7PM
330 Albany Ave, Brooklyn“I love going here. The produce is fresh (sometimes a bit more expensive), there is good variety, the store has cute decor, and their employees are super nice and friendly. Overall a very pleasant experience. :)”
“The best bodega/deli around! The staff are always nice and friendly and treat everyone with respect. It’s nice to see every time I go everyone’s in good spirits, having a laugh, and moving effortlessly between sales and orders. The stores always clean and well stocked and the food is great! Fresh and great portions for the price. This is the bodega you want to shop at. Also their fish and chips are really good besides superb deli sandwiches. They have a large drink selection, and all your essentials household needs. Definitely recommend you to stop in.”
“Wholeheartedly agree with other reviewers: The best herring available. Truly reminiscent of the excellent types I'd had in Amsterdam or Antwerp. How ? Generous portions with oil and seasonings that are done just right, smothered in slivered onions. Buy them pre-packed in Kew Gardens Hills. Excellent. Essen gesundheit !- Eat in good health, you all !”
“Best fruit store in Greenpoint. They always have the freshest produce that is worth every penny. Everyone who works there is very sweet and helpful. The owners are wonderful. I always get the pre cut papaya, which is always fresh and very sweet. They are the best by far in the neighborhood hands down! .”
“Pro's - very cheap pricesCon's - 1) you have to double check everything you buy to make sure it's not spoiled or expired 2) they only accept cashOverall a decent shopping experience”
“Every detail was in place. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. which the frozen food was being examined by me. While I was asking other employees, the young woman who was stocking the shelves with food also paused. A pleasant employee is worth more than others.”
“Great local grocery store! Parking lot is available for a few cars at a time. Not the biggest selection of groceries, but they have every type of paper goods. A ton of sale's every week, but you may have to purchase a minimum or follow other directions to get sale price.”
““Finest” is really a true statement in the name of this place. It’s not just the products (although good and fresh - and always excellent) but it’s more so the people that make the difference in this place. Sal is just amazing and so is everyone who works there. I’ve gone in and asked for certain things and He/they’ve ordered it just to accommodate ME! And if they’re doing that for me, they're doing it for others also. Sal’s not just a business owner and his staff aren’t just workers - they’ve all become friends … when I go there it’s like seeing close friends/almost family. This is what makes this place above the rest!Thank you for being so personable, becoming my friends and literally being the “Finest”. Highly recommended!”
