Came here for the first time to see author, Justin Torres read from his new book. The layout of the shop is super cozy with plenty of sunlight I'll bet (I was there in the evening). There was even a signing in the back, which was wonderful. Nice and spacious in a lovely and charming neighborhood, I would definitely return for another event, or to go shopping!

Came here to see JUSTIN TORRES start his NYC book tour and it is such a lovely store, in the most charming neighborhood! Highly recommended for all ages.

Huge inventory of books from an extensive range of genres. They aren't cheap, but then their costs would be going up just like all of us.

Cute bookstore but a few things stand out that are a big shame:1. This store is not black owned and Google have it listed wrong.2. The 3 staff members in the store when I visited weren’t particularly friendly/warm.3. The books are often sitting around the $18-25 mark, which makes it increasingly difficult to shop at the store vs (enemy) Amazon, where the books are significantly cheaper.4. There’s no comfort. No carpet, chairs, rug, stools, area to sit/stand and read a page or 2 without being in someone’s way.5. There’s no designated area of books by people of color, despite being in the heart of Brooklyn.Positives:1. A selection of local authors books have a visible section at the front.2. There is a designated area of books written by women.3. Postcard stands are cute.4. They have a great collaboration with Granru Market (super cool store, owned by black brothers).5. It is women owned.

This is such a lovely bookstore with a cozy neighborhood vibe. The children's section is adorable. They have lots of author talks, and it is a great place to go if you love books!

Pretty cool that the staff is visibly from diverse backgrounds. Also I like that they have a lot of recent paperback selections. So glad they exist!

Greenlight was one of my favorite bookstore stops on my most recent trip - this store is super cute, and I loved the cozy layout! They have a great collection of books, puzzles, gift items, and if you're just perusing, they have staff picks, too, to provide some recommendations. They host in-store events, such as book groups and author visits; did you know they also have a YouTube channel and a podcast?!The staff here are super friendly, and the vibes is very relaxing and chill.Note that you have to request a key to use their restroom.+great selection of diverse books+friendly staff

So happy to say I finally have a favorite neighborhood book store. Staff here is so amazing with recommendations and friendly too. They love when you bring in dogs (from what I can tell lol) and I find the way they display books really easy to browse. Love the local section!Placed an order here and it got in 5 days faster than an identical book order at Center for Fiction ? Greenlight is that girl.
