I am starting this review with some negatives but I it's a five star at the end. I am a trans person with limited resources and have shopped at 14th, 25th, Brooklyn and a store in the 80's for a few years. Each time I was gawked at, treated horrendously and even had managers sales peeps make crude jokes at my expense. I decided to never to shop at Goodwill anywhere again because of these experiences.By chance a few days ago I was in Brooklyn and as I was passing the store the window grabbed my attention. I needed something to wear for a party over the weekend. I thought "what the hell maybe this time will be different" and IT WAS.There was a white guy near the entrance who greeted me and asked how my day was. I asked where women's dresses were and instead of pointing walked me over and asked if I need help finding something. At first I didn't but then realized I was overwhelmed by the choices. I grabbed a few to try on, saw the guy again and asked if he could help me choose. A kind woman let me into a dressing room. The guy stayed in the area and gave honest comments about the dresses.I went in for one dress and bought five of the ones I tried on. I asked his name and I should have written it down. I have no idea what he does in the store but he deserves a raise, a bonus or something, I have never been treated so kindly. To whoever reads these the store has never looked cleaner, organized or had some many cool pieces,. Thank you for making at least one of your stores feel inclusive and welcoming. I can't wait to stop in again.5 stars for Goodwill on Livingston street!

Mr Collin a manager at the location downtown Brooklyn is unprofessional people on line and workers saw how he spoke to me nasty rude he didn’t set a good example for customers or his workers . Second hand Over priced items might as well go elsewhere and purchase new. They need to do better lesser pricing it’s a THRIFT STORE not a major dept store , customer service is horrible attitudes not friendly no help.

My visit to this Goodwill was truly enjoyable! While initially on my way to Salvation Army, I found this Goodwill to be far better, in terms of selection and pricing. The staff, especially Kelley, Melissa, and Michelle, were incredibly kind and helpful. Thanks again ladies!

Found some gems here! Designer trousers for $7 and really good framed artwork for the same price. I left super happy. Like another reviewer said, the “female” selection is definitely better and bigger. Thanks for the deals!

It's a convenient Goodwill location. It's supposed to close at 7, but everyone is forcefully kicked out by 6:40pm, with an employee yelling throughout the store that there are 10 MINUTES LEFT, 5 MINUTES LEFT, 3 MINUTES LEFT, etc leading up to this. Fitting rooms close well before this, around 5:45.Selection is pretty bare compared to other goodwills and thrift stores, despite the large space. Decently organized and clean for a thrift store. I've found some interesting items here before, but hit or miss most of the time. I will usually stop by when I'm in the area.Outside the store there are a dozen or more people with things spread out on blankets that they are trying to sell and yelling. They harass anyone with a bag that they think they are donating to try and take it. I wish the store would address this more, as anyone who enters the store must walk through.
