I stopped in without notice and needed significant assistance with a banking concern. One of the managers was just super—taking extra time on a Friday afternoon to make sure my paperwork was in order to help an elderly relative of mine in the neighborhood. Small town feel. Very nice.

I’ve passed this bank a million times in the last 15 years but never had an account here. (I have a citi credit card tho)I wanted a real local bank account within a few blocks of where I live so I walked in today to open a checking account. The rep said I needed a social security card to open an account. Is that still a thing? Who carries that thin piece of paper that disintegrates after a few months living in your wallet? No government authority would accept that as a form of ID anyway, so why is that needed? So what did I do?I opened an account with Bank of America a few blocks down instead. No need for my social security card.Yeah, all banks in this neighborhood have sucky reviews, but this bank had some weird vibes also.I went with a better sucky bank.

Can’t tell if the woman banker there was just useless or lazy. We went looking for help and were turned away.

Very incompetent staff. Do not go here, they will waste your time! I came in a week ago and asked what they need to open a new account, made an appointment. Came today on time, waited 40 minutes only to be told that they cannot open an account. Why could you tell it to me in the first place? The bank across the street open an account without any appointments and wait.

Personal banker Jessica Osorio and the tellers (especially Yuping) are fantastic! They really cultivate a personal relationship, and I appreciate the constant follow-up. I've been with Citibank for over 2 decades, and they should train the totally incompetent personal bankers at other locations, one of which almost lost my business to Wells Fargo.

Tellers are great (a special shoutout to Yuping), but everything else is horrible. Go in for information (not even a transaction) and they tell you you need to make an appointment. Can't get anyone on the branch phone to actually MAKE an appointment , plus the citi appointment app can't find any appointments for this branch. Meanwhile, walk in and watch the people behind the glass windows staring at their computer screens, and if you manage to catch someone's eye, they might just ignore you.

You have to be careful there it is only atm no teller and there is always somebody sleeping on the floor, it is located in the Rite Aid pharmacy and the machines are often dirty and or some of the machines don't work. They have a full branch on 181st and Broadway and 179at George Washington Bridge

Yupin and the other tellers are always super kind and go out of the way to help me and my family. They make the bank welcoming and a nice part of the neighborhood. I choose to go here because of them.

Yupin and the other tellers are why I come here instead of another bank. They are kind, personable and always go out of their way to help my family.

I opened an account to receive a promotional bonus. After numerous phone calls, and way past the date that I was supposed to get the bonus, still no money showing up in my account. Customer service totally unhelpful. How is Citibank still in business?

Not sure what is up with this branch or Citibank in general, but there is NO COMMUNICATION between this branch and the back office of Citibank. Since 12/30/2020, the Citibank back office you can reach through the main phone number, 1-888-248-4226, tells me all paperwork that the Park Slope Citibank branch emailed/faxed the back office was NEVER received or "got lost" and is asking me to take time from work to resubmit paper work all over again. Not sure why it is my job to facilitate communication between Citibank offices. Disgusted with the lack communication and loss of important documentation between the Citibank offices. Probably best to avoid Citibank.
