I recently visited the Citibank branch on 7501 3ave, Bayridge to order foreign currency, a process that typically requires a two-day waiting period. After obtaining my verifed bank number from my citigold care manager, then i approached teller named, Sherin Abdelgawad, to place my order, presenting my driver's license as identification and accounts information. To my surprise, Ms. Abdelgawad's tone with Arabic accent was very rude to me. Ms.Abdel' told me to return to the branch manager without offering any assistance after i waited 20 minutes in the line. I told her I came here to order foreign money (not to get any money) and provided my IDs and account numbers. She said she can't do and i was told to go back the bank manager to get help, with her attitude and impolite replied. I told her don't need to be rude and she ignored me. She appeared visibly frustrated, possibly due to delays caused by a previous customer took her long time counting coins, and did not provide the courteous service all clients expected.
This experience with Sherin Abdelgawad was deeply disappointing and does not reflect the high standards of customer service that Citibank is known for. I hope the management will address this issue to ensure that future customers receive the professional and respectful service they deserve.

My husband went in to deposit a check made out to both of us and already endorsed by both of us. Rep wouldn't let him deposit it and gave him no recourse re:adding my name to the account. Implied that if I had changed my name it would be fine. Sexist jerk offered only to shred our check for us.

Don't die while having an account with Citi. They make your heirs' lives miserable trying to get money out of their grubby hands.
Edit: I will not communicate with you privately any more, after the hell through which you've put my loved-ones. Stand up and publicly defend your heartless organization's behavior.

Horrendous customer service. They have no idea what they're doing. Don't trust them with your hard working money. Go to a legit bank like Chase!

We recently opened an account here at Bay Ridge Citibank. I must say we were treated with the utmost professionalism and care. Mr Albin Tahirovic (personal banker) was very knowledgeable and helpful with our needs. The branch manager Fred Caramanico was very professional and helpful as well.

My building only takes quarters for laundry, so I find myself frequenting Citibank fairly often to exchange $20 bills for two sleeves of quarters. I usually go to Citi on 86th and 5th, but since that branch is closed due to COVID, I found myself at Bay Ridge Pkwy and 3rd. I exchanged my $20 for quarters and when I arrived home, it was clear that the sleeves were not equal in length, so I knew I was very literally shortchanged. Both sleeves were under $10. For my $20, I received $17.60... $2.40 short. Yes, you read that correct, $17.60... there were NICKELS in both quarter rolls- seven nickels to be precise. Photo below of what was received. I'm aware that there is a change shortage, but at no point was I told that I would be taxed or subject to an exchange rate for needing the quarters. I don't exactly think I can go back and attempt to prove that I was shorted, so as a warning to all in need of quarters, have your teller double check quarter rolls. So ridiculous.

No one ever picks up the phone at this location. Then, when you go there, the business manager is never there and never returns calls. You can't even leave a voicemail. Basically there is zero service

My mother was taken advantage of by citi bank.theu closed her account 3 months ago and have since kept all her funds. We requested a check 4 times because my mother is disabled and can not get to a branch. They told us they mailed the check 3 times which was a big lie each time. My mother now can not afford her medication or rent. This money is her social security check. Citi bank is nothing but a scam!!! I have been fighting for my mother's account for 3 months now. They stole all her social security benefits. Citi bank is a scam do not branch them with. Please branch with Santander
