Bush Terminal Piers Park is a newly developed waterfront park in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. This area, once a bustling port complex, has been transformed into a public green space with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The park offers a range of amenities, including two multi-purpose soccer and baseball fields, a nature preserve, and a waterfront esplanade. Visitors can explore the park's tidal pools and restored wetlands, as well as the historic abandoned factories that line the area. The park is a quiet, natural space in the industrial section of Sunset Park, providing a peaceful respite from the city's noise. While the entrance area is currently under construction, the main road is well-maintained, and the park is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitors can access the park at 43rd Street and enjoy the stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty, which can be seen from the pier. Overall, Bush Terminal Piers Park is a hidden gem in Brooklyn, offering a unique blend of nature, history, and recreation in a picturesque setting.
This is the new home to nycs extensive kayak / boat program. As this area becomes developed, many people will flock here for the future ferry stop, and shopping and options to become available.
