I went to the urgent care on monday, I have a server case of the flu. The medication that they want to give me they need my blood work back. Thursday will be 4 days with nothing. I have never seen a lab move this slow and I am a medical assistant.

I took a PCR- COVID test close to a week ago and have yet to receive my results. What is the point of sending out swabs to a lab if the results won't be returned in a normal time frame? If your lab is unable to sustain the volume of tests, don't accept anymore tests. All of this to charge insurance to make money ? Meanwhile, I had to go and retake my test while feeling sick like a dog. Luckily for me another lab who was responsible enough to run my swab got my results back the same day. This is lab and its incapability to run tests accordingly is unacceptable.
