468 Bergen St, Brooklyn“Bicycle Roots is one of those special shops where they aren’t interested in shallow transactional exchanges but instead invest themselves in building a deep relationship with you and your experience riding your bicycle. I’ve worked with the shop on two custom builds: my beloved Ritchey Outback gravel bike and my sturdy Surly Long Haul Trucker. In both cases I was struck not only by the quality and meticulousness of the craft they poured into the build, but also by the patient communication they put into making sure I understood every key decision they were making, giving me context to help me steer things in a different direction when I was confused, and helping me have peace of mind that the choices we landed on were choices that would serve me for years of seeking joy on my bike. This kind of deep personal involvement, in which the mechanics are not only knowledgeable, but eager to share their knowledge with you in a generous and empowering way is all too rare in bike shops. It takes a level of humility and kindness one is lucky to come across in one’s friends, not to mention a commercial relationship. I feel lucky to count the staff at Bicycle Roots as my friends, and I hope that if you’re reading this, you take the time to invest as deeply in the shop as I have done. They will reciprocate every ounce of investment, and you’ll come out of it not only with a bike you can depend on for years to come, but a relationship of which you can say the same thing.”
“Nicest staff and best mechanics. In the last year they've worked on my road bike, mountain bike, gravel bike, and track bike. You can bring them anything and they have the expertise to sort it out.”

From the moment I stepped through the door, Damon's exceptional service always stands out. He greeted me warmly and took the time to understand my needs. Damon's expertise was evident as he guided me through their impressive selection of electric bikes.Upon learning that I was looking for a family cargo electric bike, Damon recommended the perfect model that met all my requirements. His attention to detail and genuine interest in finding the best fit for me and my family were truly appreciated.Furthermore, I had the pleasure of interacting with Keyshaun, who also provided excellent assistance during my visit. Together, Damon and Keyshaun made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.Overall, I highly recommend Green Path Electric Bikes to anyone in search of high-quality electric bikes and outstanding customer service. Thanks to Damon and Keyshaun, I left feeling confident and excited about my purchase.”
“Manuel and Aldo are the consummate professionals. The only bike shop in NYC worth going to if you want to get things done right. Maglia Rosa is in a class of its own.”
“Great store. Bought my gas bike from there. They were friendly people and explained everything, but most times that I called them, they don't pick up the phone. People have questions about their items and also don't know if it's open, so please pick up the phone guys.”
“Updating from a 3 to a 4. My initial review is still below but it is more about the bikes. The Shop itself was good about follow up and helping with the recall repair and then also tuning my other bike. That said when I came to pick it up only had half a charge and I had a long way to go!So, the bikes are very useful and for the most part good. There was a tire recall issue on a bike that took awhile for the company to fix, but they ultimately did for free. We have two of them, a long one (the Wagon) for shuttling two kids and a shorter one that can handle one kid but is more for work. I've put about 800 miles on them combined, but the Mission City now has error messages (24/30) coming regularly and it is hard to commit to going the shop and getting it fixed as I wouldn't want the electric drive to poop out en route - it's far to the shop from where I am. Still using the Wagon with no issues post-wheel replacement, but hesitant to use the other. That said, both bikes combined were still $2K+ less than a Tern...so a plus.”

7308 5th Ave, Brooklyn“I went in today to get my bike adjusted and was looking for somewhere closer bc i just moved in the area. I was pleasantly impressed with the customer service and free advice. This will be my new home LBS!!! Next purchase will be lipless shoes, here we come”
“These folks let me in after closing to let me borrow an allen key to tighten my seat post after I left it too loose like a fool and it dropped on me mid ride. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but I’ve had other shops laugh in my face for similar things in the past. 10/10 nice folks, will be back!”
“The manager fixed my bike and my scooter and my brother's beat down rearview mirror. The idea was to leave my scooter and bike there because he gets many orders, but I told him I am staying because he is so handsome. Especially when he bends over.”

326 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn“Dustin is THE MAN! I had an issue with my bike and scheduling pickup. Since I am a great customer, he went above and beyond to hand deliver my bike to me. What a fantastic manager at this VanMoof. Make sure you go get a VanMoof bike because they are phenomenal. I've had mine for 3 years and it's hands down the best investment I have made in commuting all around this big NYC apple. They work great, go faster than citi bikes and are super sleek for all the fashionistas out there. Make sure you go dap Dustin up and give him a hug from me :)”
“I bought here already two bikes. Couldn’t be more happy. A bike store how it should be: prompt service and maintenance. The mechanics are pros and know their business.”
