Al and crew did a lot of interior renovations for us after purchasing an old house - eg, built-in bookshelves, new closets, new stairs, patching/painting. All the work was performed on time and on budget, and I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the staff. Highly recommend ACR Pro Contractors for those considering home renovations.

I used ACR contractors to renovate my apartment after a flood from the holidays. Al has been wonderful in communicating with me the renovation progress and keeping me in the loop. I checked in with their work periodically during the renovation period and the detail of the work is incredible.I had brand new flooring installed, and the details on the corners are great.They even cleaned up as much compound and renovation dust as possible for me after the job was finished. Al checked in on me after as well to ensure I was happy with the work.If you want honest hard working contractors for your renovation needs, ACR is the one to choose!Services: Paint indoors

We met with Al, the owner of ACR and had a good experience, we didn't initially go with them because the initial price was above our budget for our Kitchen and Living room open layout plan. We decided on another contractor, but were extremely and immediately disappointed, we were ripped off! We hired Al about two weeks into the project to come in as a consultant, when he came by he immediately noticed that the contractor was cutting corners and also took down a load bearing wall without providing any support! At that point we decided to bite the bullet and hire ACR.Let me tell you! Our experience with ACR was phenomenal! They had every tool imaginable for the project, they used cloud software to manage the project, kept us in the loop, provided updates and most importantly, gave us the comfort that we were looking for.Al walked us through the process of purchasing finished materials, including tiles, cabinetry, the faucet and sink.There's a reason why they've been in business for so long and this project proved it.Services: Paint indoors

We recently hired ACR for a bathroom renovation, we had no idea where to start, but Al walked us through the whole process. We wanted a bathtub to shower conversion with a tiled floor, a toto bidet toilet and a double sink vanity in our master bathroom and the ACR team delivered! The project was complicated due to the age of our home, so we also had to have them replace the rough piping through their subcontractor. Al uses Asana as a client relations management tool, every step of the project was uploaded into asana, pictures were added, any questions along the way were posted and any changes to the scope of work were clearly described with the option to approve, disapprove or request a change.We loved the clarity of all project details and how my husband and I both had access to Asana and were able to respond. Their project foreman Enrique who was assigned to our project was very knowledgeable, made sure the work area was cleaned daily and was able to answer any questions. Thank you ACR team for not only a pleasurable experience, but for also being honest, reliable and full of integrity. We will recommend you to our network of friends and family!Services: Waterproofing

ACR was hired to do an extensive renovation for us, which included soundproofing. Beyond just doing a great job all around, they were responsive, honest, and always showed up when they said they would. They were easy to work with and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Highly recommended. (The owner is also a Park Slope local, which we liked.)

Al was extremely helpful when my wife wanted a new bathroom. He had great ideas, took us to showrooms and helped us pick out dazzling fixtures. I worked incredibly hard to purchase my first home in NY and decided to work with ACR to do some light renovations -- primarily painting. I was ensured that that the work would be high quality and done in a timely fashion, but unfortunately, this was not the case. Al never stepped foot in the property - apparently was was out of the country the for entire job, which was a nightmare, because his workers had almost no communication skills. When I would bring this up with him, he got combative - totally unprofessional - at this point he already had my money, so we were stuck with him. Ultimately, the work was just terrible. Al and the team were incompetent, so we ended up hiring a new crew. They were astonished when they came onsite and saw ACR's work. ACR is a prime example of the horror stories that you hear about hiring Ne York contractors. Al is a low integrity swindler. His business model is to make a low bid, promise a high quality job, and then bring undocumented workers to your home and leave you fend for yourself because he never shows up (literally , ever). We ended up paying double ACRs original estimate to fix their terrible work. I encourage you to learn from my mistake and find another contractor.

ACR was a referral from a friend. Al and his team were very professional, detail oriented and finished the job one-time. They installed framing for doors and windows as well and vinyl flooring for a rental property. They aren't cheap but you can feel secure that it will be done right the first time. I would use ACR again in the future and recommend them to others.Service: General construction

I was lucky enough to find Al and his team a few years ago after a friend suggested that I ask him to come take a look at a number of big and small jobs I had in a Brownstone in Boerum Hills. And I'm very glad I did! He worked hard, fast and well with the attention to detail that was required. He was trustworthy and came and went without me needing to be there. The store where I brought my floor gave me contractor. But i had bad experience with them. Then I found ACR PRO CONTRACTORS on the internet. Al came looked at everything that needed to be done. He was nice and professional about everything Then Junior and his crew came on time .They were also nice and professional about everything . They finished the job and fixEd what the other contractor did. The floor came out great and also wall molding they put down looks great. Al came back to look at the job. I would. Recommend them to people I know.
