Do NOT use this moving company. JOE IS A BROKER even though he said he wasn't. His "wife" is Sue???This moving company left my belongings out in the rain while unloading the truck. They broke my brand new EXPENSIVE, ONE OF A KIND couch I treated myself to when I bought my house and my beautiful China dishes were also broken and damaged. I am missing many belongings that they stole from me!! I tried to call Joe to discuss all of this but guess what, he got his double amount he "quoted" just like a broker does and won't return one of my calls. The drivers of the truck that carried my furniture across country could not have been more disrespectful and rude. The drivers name is Andre and he is awful but figuring the kind of company this is, I'm not surprised. I'm giving everyone a fair warning, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They lied to me left and right and ruined my belongings....left them ALL in the pouring rain. Unbelievable! If I can sue them, trust me, I will. I promise all of you out there!

Recently used Joe from A One Van Lines to help move our offices within Howard Beach NY. We had desk, tables, chairs and plenty of boxes to move. They did so quickly and efficiently. Charged a flat rate and everything was done within a few hours. I will be sure to use them again in the future.

Some items were missing from a relocation service from New York to Florida. We were told there would be 2 drivers and there was only one. To then be told by the other driver the other person had a hangover so he couldn't make it.

The sales guy quoted us $400 but then when it came time to unload the truck the owners demand double that despite what we were told on the phone when we agreed and signed initially. Then they had the audacity to threaten to drive away with my stuff and dump all my property into the garbage, in an attempt to extort more money from me. Next thing I know the cops show up because these bandits called the cops on me lol. Wild. If you read enough of their reviews here or on Yelp, you'll notice a pattern: they deny it's them saying the reviewer mixed them up with a different company (nope I didn't), they blame that the person was applying for a job and got denied, or they claim the incident was so long ago that if the reviewer would've complained immediately they would've done something to fix the situation (lie) -- it's clear that these people are unprofessional and thieves who I wouldn't send my worst enemy to. They are the scum of the earth.God will repay you in full, inshAllah.Stay away ?

Absolute scam artists. Quote low on the phone and charge you double after they have your stuff in their truck. Buyer beware ✍️

Just want your money. (Joe sales rep) told us delivery in 2/3 days we received 1 week later and they added charges. After you paid deposit - You need to fight to get answers - Finally: Didn’t want to deliver unless we paid extra money. You should go for “Piece of cake moving and storage” - Little more expensive but no issues at all.

I have moved with this company 3 times, and they are amazing! Once from the city to Brooklyn, 2nd within Brooklyn and 3rd just moved to Hollywood, Florida. Each time they were very professional and very accurate with the pricing. Mark is an amazing foreman, directed the workers and they were very fast and careful. I recommend this company for all your moves!!!

Sorry this is only an update, but our original post is on Yelp if you want to refer to what we experienced, which pretty much mirrors those of so many others. But you won't believe your eyes when reading this update. Our experience has now been that these con men/woman have successfully (so far) conned us A SECOND TIME. You read that right, more and more lies and contradictions after we were CONNED into believing A-One's promise to settle our matter was genuine, and not a continuation of their previous deceptions. After the involvement of the NY AG's Office (and, we believe, other consumer protection agencies) in response to our complaint of Deceptive Business Practices and Consumer Protection law (VERY similar to those of approx. 50 reviewers on YELP alone), to which we appended many exhibits and proofs, A-One offered to settle the matter with us for the amount of their overcharge - $840.00, which they not only agreed to IN WRITING, but required us to sign and notarize legal documents to memorialize the settlement.Fortunately for our future endeavors, we have ELEVEN emails from them, confirming this, as well as the TWO legal instruments their successful con scheme required us to sign and notarize. Now the update on their continued deception: a laundry list of excuses and lies for their refusal to honor their agreement, THREE OF WHICH EVEN CONTRADICT ONE ANOTHER! For instance, one asserts that they mailed us their check TWICE, but it was "returned marked undeliverable" (which they mysteriously claimed to have discarded when our Postmaster requested a copy). Two more assert "fraud in our USPS account" and "fraud in our Chase Bank account". What an unlucky group of people, suffering "fraud" on both accounts! They can't even keep up with their own lies and contradictions.Another continued manipulation on their part attempts to make US responsible for obtaining their settlement check by sending them (and paying for) an overnight carrier envelope, demonstrating that its apparently beyond their ability to honestly and reputably transmit a check that is their responsibility to pay.The final excuse is the funniest - it attempts to require us to travel from Arizona to Brooklyn, NY to pick up an $840.00 check! We anticipate that A-One will come up with another creative excuse that 4 years have elapsed since they defrauded us, but we are elderly and have become disabled by illnesses and resulting disabilities, rendering us "Vulnerable Elderly Persons" as defined by NY law. We are just now attempting to get started on our issue again. But after consultation and research of legal sources, we learned that we are within the Statute of Limitations for fraud, especially in view of NY's Continued Wrong Doctrine. To summarize, we believe we are victims of theft by way of Scheme to Defraud (NY Law Subsection 190.65), and as such, are further victims of "false and fraudulent pretenses, representations or promises" as Vulnerable Elderly Persons, as defined in Subsection 3 of Section 260.31 under NY law.Tell anyone you care about to avoid this company like the plague, and believe the reviewers who have taken their valuable time to warn others of deceptive business practices and fraudulent offers of settlement, as is our experience.Everyone must get a kick out of A-One's "stock response" to MANY bad reviewers, such as "we never moved you", "we have no record of you as a customer", "maybe you got the company name wrong", ad infinitum. You'd have to be pretty gullible to believe that dozens of reviewers posted with such detail about the wrong company on two major review sites.
