I bought a few things, cute mugs and wedding flutes that said Mr. And Mrs.. I wound up finding something else as a gift and needed to return the flutes. I honestly did not know they do not do returns only exchanges. The two ladies worked with me to help process the return. I appreciate the service and going forward next time now I know the policy. The Furniture we ordered is nice and seems like it will hold up for many years. The experience, however, was absolutely horrific. We went to the store since it was recommended by a co-worker and at first seemed like it would work out great. When Danielle told me how long of a wait it would be to get the order, I told her that we might not do it because we were hoping to have something by Christmas. She said if we ordered that day, she would do us a favor and have it to us by the holidays. The piece was not delivered until mid February and when we called for an update in the beginning of December, we were told there was no chance it would be ready and that we can expect it 12-20 weeks from when we ordered it. I guess I should have had something put in writing about the delivery date being sooner as I was told it would be in the store. When the piece was finally ready, I received a phone call stating they could deliver it Friday between 12-5, this phone call was received on Thursday. When I told Danielle that this time does not work for myself or my husband since we both are working, she replied that this is the only days they deliver pieces. I gave a few other days other than Fridays during the week that could work for us she repeated they don't deliver those days. We were never told this information and also never given any heads up about the pieces completion estimate so we could potentially make this work. Ultimately her husband was able to work with us and deliver it the Saturday afternoon instead of Friday. This was after many back and forth phone calls with Danielle speaking very unprofessionally and again repeating that she was somehow doing us a "favor" despite us looking up the contract that was signed that stated they deliver Monday-Fridays between the hours of 2-5, which we could have made work. Overall the price we paid for the piece of furniture was not worth the hassle of having to deal with Danielle who was extremely rude and unprofessional. We tried to support a small business but ultimately left feeling like they could care-less about their customers and like we were somehow an inconvenience. I would not recommend this business to anyone. You should just buy something online instead of dealing with the headache that Danielle will give you anytime you try to communicate with her.

I love this store! They have high quality, unique decor and custom furniture that gives your home that warm and fuzzy feeling. Candles the give your home that personal touch for your friends and family members to always remember you by. Danielle takes her time with all her customers to ensure they get optimum services. I highly recommend you stopping in to take a stroll around.

This store is beautiful and has the best home decor and custom made furniture that I have seen anywhere. Danielle the owner is very willing to help you. She is fantastic to work with and has the best decorating ideas. She is very sweet and never steers me wrong. I have purchased many things from this store with her help and they always look perfect in my home. You can bring pictures of the room or even a wall you'd like to decorate and she always takes the time to work with you. You will not be disappointed if you visit her store.

Go to DL Barn in East Northport, they buy from the same wholesalers in Lancaster, have the same or even better prices, but don’t have the rude or snotty attitude that Danielle has. Had a few unpleasant experiences with SLD and would never give them another dollar.

Nice place!!! They have different things for the home. They will be opening a store at Bellport outlets in a few months!! Beautiful items that are different and classy!!! Very nice people there to help you with anything you might want to ask. Try it...I loved it!!

You're paying a premium for everything in this store. Even when compared to similar stores on the island. It's annoying but it is what it is. I do like the products they sell and It didn't really bother me until my last visit. The problem I have is how cheap the store comes across. They already have a 4x mark up on almost everything but still have to remove the off-brand batteries from it's LED candles? These are the same candles you get at Michaels, Homegoods, Amazon, etc. They are already overcharging for them - you can't just include the USED off brand dollar tree batteries? I mean.. come on. I always walk out of here (reluctantly lol) spending hundreds of dollars. My last experience really turned me off and I doubt I'll be back. I rather take out a second mortgage for a tank of gas and head to Lancaster myself.

I absolutely love this shop. This is my one stop shop for gifts. The owner, Danielle, always creates (from scratch) beautiful one of a kind gifts for me to give, and nails it each time. My go-to gifts are always custom signs for people’s homes. Each one I order and pick up are perfect in EVERY way! I do know she is very busy there, so I make sure to order things well in advance. Her husband, Dan, is beyond talented when it comes to making these pieces. His craftsmanship is impeccable! Danielle has helped me decorate my home AND has made me a rockstar gift giver!!! Thanks guys, I’ll be in soon to order that standing planter you posted (this one is for me!)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND For a personalized shopping experience!After visiting Simple Little Detail in Brookhaven and chatting with Danielle and her staff ( Amazing, all of them!!!) I attended one of Danielle’s craft parties. It was a wonderful time out, sooo much fun. Danielle is AMAZING. She is so talented at what she does. There had to be 40 women at this class, some how she found a way to teach the class while having individual conversations with everyone! I overheard conversation from shopping to personalized items, furniture, home design and family!Danielle seems to genuinely care about all of the people that support her business and harnessing relationships with them! If you love a personalized shopping experience I would 1000000% go with Simple Little Detail for your home decor and furniture needs! With Danielle at its center, Simple Little Detail is more than just a business, it’s a family!!
