I have family that lives in Bronxville, and Value Drugs is one of the businesses in the village that they frequent. One of my aunts alerted me of a sale that they have every year around the holidays where most items run 20% off - she usually takes advantage of this sale when purchasing small gifts and stocking stuffers. This year, she asked if I was interested in joining, and since I indeed needed to pick up a few small gifts, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check Value Drugs out. On the surface, Value Drugs is an independent pharmacy, but it's a little more than that since addition to being a pharmacy and providing corresponding retail items, they have a large selection of non-pharmacy items which gives the feel of almost being a general store. It's a family business as well, with multiple locations in Westchester and on Long Island. The store is quite large - you enter into the main area with general merchandise, and then the pharmacy area is almost in a separate room off to the side. They have a good selection of merch - you can easily spend a good chunk of time browsing. As soon as I entered I focused on the holiday section - I was able to pick up some confections to complement gifts I was giving, and noticed they had a variety of decor as well. Even though the store is large, the aisles are tight - it was a struggle to navigate with all of the foot traffic, however I feel this was an atypical situation due to the sale. Service was good; the store was well staffed and despite everything going on, there was a flow and organization. Overall, I had a good first experience at Value Drugs. I cannot speak for their pharmacy services, but I can see how their other selection along with cleanliness and good service make it a staple in the Bronxville community.

Best pharmacy in Bronxville - hands down. The offer a level of personalization, care, professionalism and local love that you won’t find in any other pharmacy in or around the village. Plus, they offer much more than pharmacological services; they have an entire general store with loads of useful home, garden, school, food and hardware supplies (amongst others). Can’t recommend them enough.

I like the items they sell, however good luck getting out of there! Standing in line to pay for a roll of tape feels so ridiculous. No wonder people find it easier to order everything online. I wished the owners would wake up to this before it’s too late. So much for “supporting your local businesses”…. How about respecting people’s time?

Called to ask about the availability of a medication and just got a quick ‘no’ and a hang-up. Would expect more from a private pharmacy. Disappointing. The non-pharmacy part is quite nice and lovely. But would stick with CVS as surprisingly, more responsive and professional. :(

After shopping in store asked an employee to use the rest room. She told me there was none. There was at least 10 employees working in the store at this time so I know this cannot be true. I was in desperate need of restroom and she dismissed me. Terrible customer service!
