I am a strong believer in supporting local businesses and this particular business is owned and staffed by thoughtful, helpful, knowledgable people. I love that I have an electronic connection with them; I always pay when I order and just wait for their email message.Go Transom!!”

2113 Amsterdam Ave, New York“I grew up in washington heights and I would love to know what year this place opened? I would pass it a lot and never think to go inside. It's a good quality book store. There's a small section of manga. I love that my community has access to books!”
“I thought Yonkers was lost cause because I felt that it did not have much... Then I found B & N! I was elated and bought a few items! The only thing is that I am looking for a particular book, but I saw that they have it online... And I became a member...I LOVE BOOKS!”
“If you can’t find a book in here that you want then I suggest you call Amazon but more than likely you’ll get it here. This is a beautiful place there’s two of them, two of the book stores. They both are in close proximity to Columbia university. And that says a lot about what they carry.”
“Exceptional service!!!!Israel the owner was willing to take my order 3 days before Pessach and go out his way to make sure my order will be delivered to my family in NY. I just can’t thank him enough and can’t believe I found a store that was actually kind enough to listen and help someone on the other side of the world. על זה נאמר אנשים טובים בדרך !השם יברך אותך ישראל!תודה רבה!”
“One of the few B & N Kitchen locations. Located inside Barnes & Noble with an outdoor area for the warmer months. Starbucks Cafe attached to the book store and the restaurant, serving coffees, teas and treats. Restaurant menu is on the limited side, but some quality options. They don't do the avocado toast since covid.... wish upon a star that they would bring it back. Alcohol selection is decent.... yes.... they serve alcohol.... at a book store. Good parking, which is free.”
“The most wonderful customer service! Etty and Yossi are the most patient and caring people you’ll meet and will go above and beyond to make you happy. We are so grateful to have Judaica of great neck and so thankful for making our shopping super easy and pleasant!”
“Great booksigning‼ Loved how they set up the writer in the back so it allowed you privacy to talk with him. He was lovely and so accommodating to be able to take pic with all of us. Store also provided discount for purchases made that night. Overall great experience‼”

536 W 112th St, New York“A nice shop with a wide selection of books to choose from and friendly staff to help you a long the way. They have a location on 114th, closer to the Columbia campus, but this location has a much larger selection to look through. Among my interests are a niche genre of books, and I was pleasantly surprised by what they had to offer in those genres; meeting my needs and more. All over the store they have signs noting different recommendations from the staff which is fun to peruse and explore new books that others enjoyed. They also take orders and pre-orders which is nice. Overall, a great local bookstore to support, with an excellent stock of books at fair prices and friendly staff.”

The owners are welcoming and add the personal touch that only indie bookstores have. You will almost always find what you are looking for; if you don't, there is no need to worry. They happily order it for you. Highly recommend this store.”
“Dr Nerens not only works efficiently, but also takes the time to explain what he is doing while working on your teeth. I felt confident in his ability to resolve my teeth issues.”

“Clean, bright, well designed bookstore for shopping vibe. It has a decent apparel selection, but I was there to find a zip hoodie, which they had none. Everything's overpriced, but nobody would expect anything less, right? Kind and helpful staff. They take mobile payment.”
“Delightful bookstore under the new ownership! The owner and her daughter were so friendly and welcoming, happy to chat away about great books, their cute backpacks and stationary and seeds! It’s a lovely store with a great ambiance. I’m so happy to have another lovely bookstore in Larchmont.”

441 E Fordham Rd, Bronx“A beautiful, serene campus, with beauty and architectural style in a park-like setting, situated in the middle of the Bronx!! I haven’t attended classes here, but it’s reputation precedes itself!Division 1 NCAA sports and a gorgeous stadium! The Gabelli business school seemed to be very well equipped with Bloomberg terminals and a seemingly state of the art facility! Overall my impression of the school was very impressive.”
“I needed birthday gifts for two young girls and had no idea of what to get for them. I found the Toy Box online and drove up this morning. The woman in the store (sorry, but I never got your name) was extremely helpful and friendly. I was able to get gifts for both and I feel confident that the girls will enjoy them. This will now be my go-to store whenever I need to purchase toys.”

230 Main St, White Plains“Went in for a quick Starbucks coffee but ended lingering to look at all the books games magazines B&N offers. Astounding number of choices. Staff helpful with my questions. The Starbucks is standard & dependable with cheerful baristas & plenty of tables.”
“Every book that I think — oh, I should buy that for my child/partner/neighbor/friend — I see it the next time I’m at Picture Book. Expertly curated, ever-changing, always relevant and unexpected. A great local bookshop.”

525 W 120th St #309, New York“Campus is really inspirational and a great place to spend your evening and think about anything. Compared to the campuses of other US universities, they definitely need more trees.”
“I love this little bookstore! It’s a perfect one-stop shop right on Columbia University Irving Medical Center’s campus. I came here initially to buy study supplies, a reference book, and Columbia gear. I walked away with everything I needed! On an additional trip, I grabbed a birthday card for a friend and a book for leisure-reading. Super easy to find what I needed! Another plus: the staff here are very nice and were helpful during each of my visits. I will definitely be returning!”
“My son transferred from a Suny School to Manhattanville after his sophomore year. I cant say enough good things about this school. Its truly a gem. The campus is beautiful, its in one of the most prestigious areas in the country. It has a very good sports program, d3. What is most impressive to me is the small class sizes and professors who will do all they can to help you succeed. Your safe here, you are with good people and of course they have White Plains NY to have fun at night. The bus will take you there and pick you up. They are pouring money into the school. My suggestion is to visit the school, especially if you are interested in playing sports there. You will be treated well and you will be set up to succeed. My only regret is not sending him here for all four years.”
“Great selection of books that center progressive, revolutionary thought, authors, and ideas. And I love supporting smaller bookstores. 1 star off for the odd hours and because I'm pretty sure the people behind it are in a cult...”
“This is a great little bookstore located right on Columbia University Irving Medical Center’s campus! They have cute CUIMC merch/study supplies and a wide selection of medical reference books available. There’s also a section of books you can browse for leisure-reading. The staff members are really nice & the cafe is super quick + convenient (it’s located right inside).”
“Love Womrath's!! They have a small selection, but they are always able to order any book I need! I would recommend going here for books than any other place! Everyone is super nice, especially Barbara, and it's great to support local businesses!”
