Michael at self-checkout is always kind and ready to help in any way. I can always find what I need at this location, though some dry goods are a higher cost here than at Whole Foods or Amazon Fresh.

The Acme in Bronxville is pathetic. Can't get what you need or want half the time! Store is run down and needs a remodel. Department's are poorly staffed and is poorly run! If you read the rest of the reviews they are not good either. They replaced Store Directors several times with no improvement. Worst supermarket I have ever seen! They need to renovate it or close it. This is the worst store in the entire town of Bronxville!

Guest services is not very kind. I went to return a FedEx package and the woman was kind of rude. She didn’t even say hello or acknowledge me and when i said I had a package she just said “yeah”. I had to wait for 5 mins before someone came downstairs and when I went to ask someone for help they were saying just wait or call out. The person at customer service just seemed like she had a bit of attitude. Didn’t say hi. Took my package and gave me the iPhone to put my phone number and then left the counter and slammed the door. Didn’t say anything or that she’ll be right back nothing. She treated me like a piece of unwanted trash.

When you walk by the meat section it smells. That usually means they don’t clean the refrigerators. If you go to the Deli prepare for a nice long wait. Last week I was the only one waiting to be taken care of . They have a bunch of old women who look like they’re miserable. I don’t have any against the elderly working , but if you have no customer skills, make customers wait as you walk by and ignore them, YOU SHOULD QUIT !!!!

Honestly, of all ACME STORES I’ve shopped in the past this one is the worst one. This is my 3rd time shopping here and I always feel rushed, discriminated against, by the old white man that works during the night shift. He is the worst!!!!!!!!. This city is a melting pot- he has to do better. He has no respect. He does not hesitate to show how racist he is to dark- skinned shoppers. I hope that next time I go shop he shows more respect and stop following around black / dark-skinned shoppers.

This is my fourth time I visiting the store and there is an old White male there who is always rushing me, following me around, and being very rude; just because of the color of my skin. I have seen him being nice to other White people in the store but he forces me to finish paying fast so I could leave the store. He has to understand that this is NYC- all races and color live here.

One and only supermarket in Bronxville. Some staffs are nice. Small free parking on its side. Their limited fried chicken is the best around in the area.

I was here the week of thanksgiving, I just needed some last minute items, and I prefer self checkout so, I wait my turn, I saw a machine that seemed to be open however, was not working (some system error) and I asked the older man who seemed to direct the self check out, if I would be able to use it but snapped at me that it wasn’t working, and I apologized but he seemed to be annoyed at me for asking, and I noticed he was very polite and greeted everyone else who got in line except me, and quickly realizing everyone who got in line was white, and being ethnic ( Hispanic, tan skin) it seemed to be racially motivated for the bad treatment and when it was my turn he snapped at me to go but was very cordial to everyone else, very disappointed, NEVER coming here again or shopping at any acme every again. Stay away from here if you aren’t there intended customers.Update: everyone got an apology for every negative review and I didn’t, thanks acme for confirming!

Was in the neighborhood and bought some butterscotch ice cream syrup here. Turns out it was infested with ants right in the crevice where the cap screws onto the bottle. There must've been a hundred ants hiding up in there and I only realized because they were crawling out when I got home. Threw it away immediately to avoid bringing them into my home, it was disgusting.

Please do better! Why is that the Front manager or supervisor this morning (woman with glasses) is okay with berating customers? I hear this woman trying to berate me to another employee simply because I had a few extra items in my cart to clear the “10 item express checkout”…I got annoyed & decided to stop mid transaction to go checkout with an employee.. mind you, no cashiers were visible when I had passed by initially nor was I in need of assistance to checkout on my own. This woman never seems to be in a positive attitude when I do shop here as she tends to serve customers with unwillingly & has a tendency to seem annoyed when actually needed.
