I've had two kids attend this school and I don't believe I could have found a better place, locally or regionally. The teachers and staff have been, and are still viewed as a second family by my children and the care and education they're received is unparalleled. My wife and I cannot thank everyone working at Yearling enough for everything they've done for us!! We're truly grateful for you dedication, professionalism and the unconditional love our children received each and every day.

My daughter started in November 2021 in the tiny tots program at 19 months old. I can’t say enough good things about her journey so far at yearling. Her teachers Ms carol and Ms Nneka have been amazing. They do so many wonderful things with the kids from daily outdoor play if weather permits, fun projects that help their motor skills, singing and dancing, and arts and crafts. I love getting all the updates they send all day long in photo and in messages, I know my daughter is in wonderful hands when I drop her off until I pick her up.I’d recommend the school to any parent looking in the neighborhood.

Our daughter attends the 1s program at Yearling. Least to say l, WE LOVE IT! From the beginning tour with Ms. Fox, the director, we felt so welcomed and comforted by what the program offered.Initially, my daughter was in a different school for a toddlers program. She would come home so glum and gloomy. She cried every time for drop off.At Yearling, my daughter absolutely loves to go to school to see her teachers and friends. Her teachers Ms. Nneka and Ms. Carol are just the greatest. They treat my daughter like their own child and it warms my heart how they gush over her. It feels so homey and they are just like family at Yearling.We have been so happy with Yearling. They do awesome projects for every holiday and season. They emphasize going outdoors, even in the snow they sled. There’s so many activities that they do on a daily basis no wonder she can’t wait to get to school. It’s the cutest thing ever.I’ve never trusted a daycare the way I have at Yearling. Most of all, our daughter is so happy there. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I 100% recommend Yearling.

My son started in the Tiny Tots class at 14 months old, and is now 21 months. We are so happy to have found the Yearling, and have been delighted by the care he has received. Ms. Carol and Ms. Nneka are wonderful teachers, they organize many fun, hands-on activities for the kids and send pictures and updates throughout the day. At first, it was an adjustment for my son, especially with napping on the cot, but they worked on it with him and he is doing great. Since being at the school, his motor skills and verbal skills have skyrocketed. They have a wonderful outside play area, and the school has a very welcoming and homey atmosphere. It is also very reasonably priced compared to other daycares in the area. Highly recommend!

My daughter was in the tiny tots class at Yearling and had a wonderful experience. The teachers (Ms. Carol and Ms. Nneka) were incredibly loving and nurturing. They did lots of creative and fun activities with the children and my daughter was always excited to go to school. They played outside multiple times every day and got to do many seasonal themed arts and crafts activities. They even baked with the kids, which seemed very ambitious to me, but they made it work and the kids loved it. They also sent regular, detailed updates about how my daughter was doing, which was really helpful especially in the beginning of our time there. My daughter went through a pushing phase and the teachers were very patient but firm with her as she worked through it. We had to move our daughter out because we needed longer hours, but overall had a great experience at yearling.

Our daughter started Yearling in the 1s class last Fall and will be going to the 2s class this September. We’ve been very happy with Yearling and how great it’s been for her development. Her teachers have been very warm and loving. They do many different activities with the kids and keep them busy and active. They go out everyday, weather permitting. We also like how small/intimate the classes are for the little ones because it’s allowed the teachers to provide more individualized attention. Early on our little one had some some separation anxiety and they helped tremendously with that! We’ve seen our daughter flourish since she’s been there and we know the staff have a lot to do with that. Ms. Carol has been very in tune with our daughter’s needs, for which we are grateful! Each morning our little one wakes up, grabs her shoes and sits in her stroller so we could take her to school. Even on the weekends, our daughter still wants to go! She’s often mentioning her friends and teachers and seems genuinely happy with her experience there.

My wife and I decided to send our daughter to the Yearling Tiny Tots (12-24 month) program despite all the uncertainties 2020-21 presented. It was definitely a great decision. The nurturing environment Sylvia, Carol and Ali created has allowed our daughter to expand her emotional and physical development. We know she is being cared for with so much love and patience. We especially appreciate the attention to detail regarding COVID and keeping everyone safe and healthy. We recommend Yearling to anyone seeking a diverse, inclusive, caring, and loving environment for their children.

My daughter is a Tiny Tot at Yearling and absolutely loves it. She has learned so much, made real friends there, and has kind and nurturing teachers. She runs right into the building after being dropped and is always excited to go. They are constantly doing fun and interesting activities, ranging from butterflies to sledding to gardening and more. They also send pictures and videos every day which we love! It has been a great experience overall and I'd highly recommend it.

We sent our son to Yearling from age 13 months-23 months and had a great experience! The teachers and staff really showed him a lot of love and made it a warm and inviting place for him. They established a good routine for him and were very communicative with my husband and I if he was having a bad day or something was wrong. We had a great experience with Yearling and would definitely recommend it to other families!

This review is to commend the attention my Daughter received at the Yearling School. My 3yo loved attending her first summer camp greatly. Everyone one always greets her with smile. In addition to fun everyday she was also learning the skills that she can apply to 3K in the fall. I highly recommend the Yearling to anyone looking for a professional and caring place for their child.Special kudos to all especially Ms Jackie Ms Jenn and Ms Sasha

Our daughter just finished the two's program and has really blossomed at Yearling. She has come home every day with new skills, songs and stories. We have loved the small class size and backyard, and her teachers most of all. Her teachers Ms. Jackie and Ms. Jenn have been phenomenal with everything from planning creative educational activities to comforting our daughter whenever she has been upset. Our daughter adores her teachers and has been so excited for school everyday.

My daughter is currently in the tiny tots program and I couldn't be happier. The teachers send us pictures and updates throughout the day to inform me how she is doing.They are always doing little projects which are really cute. I also feel like my daughters language has expanded since she has stated daycare. Most importantly, the teachers love her and show her so much love. What more can you want?

In a world where we lose sight of what the future holds for our children, I cannot express how happy I am having chosen Yearling Nursery School! This is truly a very special place for the little ones and I could not be happier. The amount of activities and programs they carry out of the toddlers is absolutely incredible. Every day it is something new and unique and I am very impressed with how well the program is handled. Ms. Fox is a true leader and is a master of her work and she has the greatest team to support her. Ms. Jenn, Ms. Liz and Ms.Carol are the loveliest people! If you are looking for a dedicated place that truly values and loves children please look no further. It’s not run like a business like many of the childcare centers in Riverdale. Thank you all for helping my child thrive !

Great pre-school with amazing staff! Yearling has been a happy place for my kid for two years (pre-school and Pre-K). We've observed great results in learning and social development. Highly recommend!
