Tomorrow, I will be transferring all my medications to a "Mom and Pop" pharmacy close to my house. They actually answer the phone, and do not have long lines.

Terrible attention from those who deliver the medicine. I went more than five days in a row to pick up a prescription and they always told me that it wasn't ready yet, that they didn't have the medicine, that they forgot to write down the list to fill the medicine, many excuses so that in the end they said that part of the prescription, the insurance did not cover it and I had to buy it even though the prescriptions were given in an emergency, they make people go and wait so that in the end they do not even attend to the people, they lack empathy, they look at the elderly and sick people and tell them that they are no longer going to continue attending when they still have time to go out for rest, my son was having a respiratory crisis and seeing how bad he was, they did not want to give me the medication even though I had been coming for days to see if it was ready. It is not the first time that this has happened to me and that I have to buy the things that were prescribed for me, but this time they were antibiotics and other medications, I had to return to the emergency room so that they could give my baby medicine.

I'm a Fordham student who uses this Walgreens. There's one pharmacist who is actually so beyond rude and treats people like they are dumb. Blow my mind how someone so "smart" could be a pharmacist. They never answer the phone either. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is bc there is one guy at the pharmacy who is pretty chill.

I sent a script in for a patient with Substitutions Allowed should the patients insurance not cover the brand name. The pharmacy never tried to fill the script for the brand only the generic then told the patient I had to resend the script because I called in the generic. Then I tried to call them waited 40 minutes on hold to then have the line swiftly picked up and hung up. So I called again and waited another 30 minutes before just giving up. I requested that the patient use a different pharmacy to which she agreed due to aforementioned predicament.

Line legit moves like one person per 20 min. Takes forever for simple pickup when its not even busy.

This is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. Impossible to get a hold of impossible to get any kind of assistance complete waste of time being on hold they’ll just hang up on you.

I'm about sick of this place. The staff here always has a nasty attitude. I dread having to come to this place. The line is always long, there's always an irate customer and the staff at the cash registers are always bothered.Currently there's one guy now who gave my husband such an attitude when he went to pick up his packages. This walgreens location is a hub for UPS so you can have your packages dropped off here. I would discourage you from doing that. They are so rude and always pretend to not find your package. Once i was literally POINTING to my box and the cashier was acting like she wouldnt understand which box i was pointing to. Back in the days, they use to have the package pick up at the photo section. THEY SHOULD do that again. It would make things so much easier. The line gets held up even longer when the cashier takes 5 mins to find a package and another 5 scanning it, checking your ID and having you sign for the package. It makes NO sense. Overall, 1 out of 10. Go somewhere else.

Due to the pandemic, I have made it possible to do basically all my shopping at walgreens. I also get my prescription there. Very convenient for me by being a rewards card member. Lots of weekly sales available.

There's a young man who answers the phone at the pharmacy who's rude and really just isn't helpful. I consistently have issues with him and always end up asking to speak to someone else. Whenever I call in with questions about my prescription, he answers in fragmented sentences seasoned with a lot of "probably's" and "maybe's". Trying to get accurate information out of him is a waste of energy & time because he then takes it personally, becomes passive aggressive and snarky when you try to get clarification. I'm always able to get accurate info about my prescriptions from his supervisor and colleagues, and have never had an issue with anyone else except that brick head.

Johnny is the kindest pharmacist, I have met! He emanates compassion and empathy... His generous act of being patient and sacrificing three extra minutes of his shift has allowed the progress of my sons health and full recovery. Nancy, whom I am told is the pharmacy technician although professional in demeanor, lacks empathy. She is cold and disconnected and was eager to end her shift at 9pm. She demonstrates lack of regard for the wellbeing of my son, whom needed to fill his prescriptions at all costs! Had it not been for the intervention of Johnny, Nancy would have closed the gate to the pharmacy at exactly 9pm. She seems detached and does not care about the consequences of leaving my son without his prescription would have caused! Nancy demonstrates leadership. She lacks empathy. Maybe she would be of better use in the stock room at Walgreens!

On Tuesday my wife happened upon an open appointment for a covid shot. Bad news was that it was in the North Bronx at 6:30 PM. Good news turned out to be that Metro North has a stop just yards from their front door. My wife had got her immunization at a Walgreens in Queens earlier that day, and it was a bit overrun with doses of confusion. I expected worse here, and was VERY pleasantly surprised. My appointment was for 6:30, and I arrived a few minutes early. At first, I was told to wait, but then Loquasia called me over to begin the paperwork. That was all settled in a few minutes, and I was promptly called in for the dose, which felt like a mosquito bite. They were organized, efficient and extremely cheerful. I was out 45 minutes after I walked in. A marvelous experience.
