These movers pressured us to give them a better tip at the time of the move and made my wife very uncomfortable. When we received our goods our TV was broken (packaged in a Uhaul TV box and wrapped in a moving blanket) and they did not complete reassembly of one of our beds. I submitted a claim for the TV and the company denied responsibility. Totally unprofessional company. BEWARE!

I trusted Velocity to pack and move my items from NYC to California. The experience was awful from the beginning. The packers threw my items in the boxes and claimed I had to pay more for the larger cartons specifically to hang clothes which they used for all items. Customer service was atrocious. After arriving several weeks after the move in date, many of my items were broken, damaged, or destroyed. The 65 inch TV was cracked and destroyed. My silk lamp shades were stained and cut up, my credenza had the handles knocked off, my mother of pearl table came with the legs broken off and totally trashed,and on and on. The driver, Shaun, told me he was caught in a hailstorm in Utah with the moving truck exposed, leaving several cartons and their contents wet, stained and destroyed. I had to throw out clothes, handbags, linens, etc. The movers were unable to bring a sofa in my new apartment so I had to hire other movers, at my expense, to deliver the sofa inside where it belongs. The movers on the east coast were constantly asking for tips even before the job was done. I’m sorry I was so generous with them since their packing skills were not professional. I firmly believe that with this much damage, Velocity should be held responsible/liable.
