I came here to ship a id and they lost it and I didn't get no money back for a replacement I'd be careful with important information shipping from here it will get lost also when you come inside it smells like a dead rat in there smell is horrible to even stand on the line they need to get someone to find the smell and clean it asap

If I could give a lower rating I would. The clerk allowed random people who weren’t in line to skip because she was clearly acquainted with them. She was also rude and impatient with me and other people waiting.

My experience has been this post office is usually overcrowded. The workers are dispassionate disinterested. They report to deliver your packages, but do not. It is very common for your packages to be lost in translation transition even when you show up with a tracking number somehow your package is not there, I’ve been waiting for over a week !! just to get my package delivered and I live about five blocks from them. Their service is horrible.

The doors are being locked before 4pm. I've came twice before 4pm and couldn't get in. The short stubby Hispanic lady looked Me right in my face and locked the doors at 3:57 pm. I was ONLY trying to put my letter down the chute. Then she put her foot in the doorway to make sure that I couldn't enter when a customer was leaving. I asked her why is she locking the door before 4pm. I showed her the time on my phone and she stated that the time on her clock inside of the post office had 4:00.

BEWARE! They steal packages. My department store return was never scanned. I hope the lady with the braids enjoys the brown booties. I hope she gets corns on her feet. After reading the reviews, with that nasty attitude she probably has feet covered in corns.

I have had problems, I lost 2 packages in less than 15 days, they were stolen from the office or the delivery people because they don't give any explanation, only when you call they give a house number and that's all when they don't get insurance, I'm sure they will. they steal them

I live one block away and to have this post office near my home in Melrose, Bronx I thought at first would be a great convenience. However, after trying it out numerous times over the years I will not be going back.The postal employees at this location are the most discourteous postal employees I've encountered anywhere- including anywhere else in the South Bronx- and that is already a very low standard. They just seem to be mean - I don't know how else to describe it.The last straw was when I brought mail to this Melrose location that was delivered in error to my home- and the agent behind the counter at Melrose literally began to scream at me for doing so; I have never felt so baffled and abused when trying to do the right thing as on that occasion!No good deed goes unpunished here.At this point I no longer visit any Bronx PO locations at all. I am glad instead to travel all the way downtown into Manhattan for any/all post office business because at least downtown I will have some chance of receiving acceptable service from the USPS, unlike here in the south Bronx.

I see people are crying but guess you are new to the post office experience ? I blame yall going there and think its Macy's. We need this place for our community! Not saying they are perfect but as long as we can mail something. IDC... Gentrification starts with yall!

This post office to be shut down the lady behind the counter has an attitude problem hey she's not taking credit cards she should put a sign on the window not wait till you get in front to let you know she's only doing cash very unprofessional service

I am not exaggerating when I say that this post office feels like it belongs in a third-world country. The place is absolutely filthy, even 10 minutes after opening- they obviously don’t even bother to sweep the floor in the morning or overnight.The staff has hand-written signs on the walls reading “NO MASK NO SERVICE” but of course, none of the staff is wearing masks and they say nothing to customers not wearing masks.This place represents an appalling failure of leadership and is an absolute embarrassment to this community.
