yo, let me put y’all on real quick, cuz this right here got me heated. so, i’m tryna help out one of my guys who just came up from latin america, right? dude’s got a motorola android, not even that old, just a couple cracks on the screen—no big deal, phone still works. all we needed was a sim card, simple, right? nah, not at this spot. we walk in, and this clown behind the counter, with a straight face, tries to tell us the phone’s “too old” for the sim card to work. like, are you serious? man’s just tryna hustle us outta money, tryna get my dude to buy a whole new phone. this ain’t just some mix-up, nah, this felt like they was tryna take advantage of my guy just cuz he’s latino and don’t speak much english. you know damn well if i wasn’t there, they woulda finessed him into spending bread he don’t even got.
but yo, i wasn’t gonna let that slide, so we dipped outta there real quick and drove 25 minutes to the kingsbridge spot instead. let me tell you, night and day difference. those people actually had some respect. they didn’t try no funny business, didn’t act like they was better than us. they even fixed his screen for free—yeah, you heard that right—for free, just to make sure his phone could still do what it needs to do.
but yo, that first store? nah, never again. that place is straight garbage, and i wouldn’t wish it on nobody. if you got any sense, don’t even bother going there. these people don’t care about you, they just tryna line their pockets, especially if they think you’re easy to take advantage of. like i said, zero integrity, man. keep it moving, and take your business somewhere that actually respects you.
