Dr Fried was knowledgeable and kind to my rabbit. Happy to be a new patient here. Clean clinic and convenient.
However, I did have to wait 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to have anyone ask questions about why I was there. I was scheduled for 11:15am but the appointment didn’t start until 11:44am.

We switched here from a vet in Inwood that we were unhappy with. Great choice. We saw Dr. Gad who was fabulous. He took his time with my dog and carefully explained things for us. We recommend Riverdale Vet to everyone.

The place is clean, but the service is not good.
1) they take your pet, and do something with them without you really knowing
2) eventhough I have provided the vets with the vaccination records of my dog, they double shot him with a vaccine that he already had, again without asking me first
3) after my dog got the shots, we were not provided with a properly documented vaccination record. It was just a print out of vaccine title with no date or number of the vial, or expiration date

Sub par service do yourself a favor go to a professional this is not it this is due to rvg putting a splint directly onto the skin I'm sorry but your supposed to put padding first then the splint you had a template from what you took off you couldn't duplicate what you saw that's just pure common sense

I can't give them enough stars!!! Everyone was so caring and knowledgeable. Our dog is anxious and can be 'dramatic' lol. He came out of the exam room relaxed.
They are open 7 days a week- which is also a huge plus!!!

Unprepared staff, sometimes rude due to lack of patience or knowledge. You ask any information, any request, any feedback, and they ask you to repeat three times when in person, and on the phone, they transfer you to every other person that works there and you have to repeat the same information.
At any time we need their services, you never get the same person. Some veterinaries were very dismissed with details when approached with basic questions, such as the amount of food to give your pet.
It is very convenient located which generate them always being very busy so that might account for the lack of service care and attention you could find at some other office.

They are amazing my cat was suffering near the end, they were reasonable and did the right amount of work up, but not too excessive to prolong his suffering. Staff is kind and compassionate, highly recommend this place.

We've been an established patient for nearly two years. Our dog has blood in his urine and they wouldn't take the urine sample we brought in at 4:02 because they closed at 4 and were "done for the day." Didn't even recommend an emergency vet we could take him to or try to reassure us that it wasn't an emergency.
You're not allowed in the exam room with your pet, which is annoying but whatever.
Also the office staff is completely incompetent. We usually have to call and make a request for a refill or lab results minimum four times before it gets written down and a doctor fulfills the request (48 hours after it finally gets noted down).
They also have their own pharmacy which charges literally 10x as much as Walmart or chewy (not an exaggeration, we've paid over a hundred dollars for a medicine that was $12 on chewy and over $40 for a medicine that was $4 on chewy) but they refuse to give online presentations so you have to wait two weeks for any other pharmacy to process the paper prescriptions you send.
I wouldn't go here if I had any other choice but the only other vet in walking distance of my place is even worse. The doctors here are at least fine when you can reach them. But if you have a car and can drive literally anywhere else, you should do so.

I have taken my pet here a number for times, however I cannot in good conscience recommend it. They will not let you join your pet in the exam room due to out-dated covid policies. Despite this, the vets complain if your pet is then too anxious to properly examine. On top of the excessive charges for small items, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

They take ur animal to the back in a room where you're not allowed. Heard my dog cry and bark and she doesn't do that for no reason. Then they overcharge you. Be prepared to spend money. Front staff is nice.

I had an overall pretty bad experience here with a vet whose name I forgot, I think it was Dr. "Dag"? He's a large, man with a shaved head:
1) For starters, I think it's pretty weird/atypical that you talk about all of the symptoms and reason for the visit in the waiting room in front of the general public without privacy
2) They then told me they were taking my dog to go weigh her, and when the vet came back out he said he had already done a blood test! I hadn't asked for, been offered, or approved the test and it wasn't even one she needed. It was the annual heartworm test and she'd had it a month prior.
3) Then, Dr. Dag offered to "price-match" heart medicine. Veterinary services often feel very "sales-y," like your love for your dog is being held over your head to pay for unnecessary lab testing and supplementary medicines/vaccines. But a price-match? What is this, Walmart?
4) Then, he offered a prescription but said he had "forgotten his prescription pad so you would have to come back if you didn't want to buy it here."
Overall this was a really bad experience, and I definitely wouldn't go back. 80-something dollars for an unnecessary needle stick for my dog... Bummer because the Google Reviews were so good. The yelp reviews are more representative I think (3/5 stars).

I found this vet because I needed an appointment asap because my dog had a UTI and was literally screaming every time she peed. This was the only place that had space in the upcoming weekend. They charge a fee up front the first time you book, but it goes towards your appointment. At first I was hesitant about this fee and about the fact that you don’t see the vets examine your pet in front of you but I love my experience so much that I kept coming here for all her vet needs. All the staff are polite and the vets are professional. You feel safe with giving your pet to be examined and I have never had a bad feeling. Wait time is not nearly as bad as other places and there is always appointment times available.
The only negative thing I will say is that a vet left a voicemail saying that he found something concerning in my dog’s blood work (at the time we had just rescued her and this vm had me worried) and that he would like to speak about her diet because she is too young to be having this problem. When I called back to speak to the vet, he was not available but another vet was. That vet said it was nothing to worry about and seemed very easy going about what they found. Two very different reactions and had me confused on what to believe. Nonetheless, I will continue coming here and will recommend to others.
