I walked in not knowing what to expect and left beyond satisfied. The moment you enter, you are greeted with the warmest of smiles and the delightful assistance of shop owners Anna and Mary Anne as they take the time to help you find the perfect gift for that special someone. Whether you're from around town or in a different state entirely, you should absolutely give them a visit.

Fantastic store run by good-hearted honest folks with an astute eye for the beautiful and the true. When I arrived from Brooklyn I had merely hoped for a couple hand-knit Irish sweaters, and I got this and then some. Mary Anne's friendly disposition led us into fantastic and edifying conversation and then I stopped next door for a pint, meeting all the good folks who were around.Come for a gift and leave with a friend or three - that's how a good shop ought to be run. God bless the Connaughtons - I wouldn't go anywhere else for Irish gifts and sweaters.

Lovely little place with a diverse collection of stuff from Ireland. I loved the Irish sweaters in particular and picked up one for my bf. The owner is a charming lady and helpful with great insights about the patterns and weavers. Was worth the trip from Brooklyn

Amazing inventory, authentic, broad, and deep. Thoughtful, helpful service. Not your average place for Irish goods.

Maryanne’s Irish Gift shop in Riverdale is the perfect place to get in touch with your roots and find the perfect gift for any occasion. Maryanne will assist you and make recommendations as well as wrap and mail for you if need be. As a customer for over twenty years I highly recommend this shopping experience.

I went recently for a wedding gift and had a really great experience. I didn’t feel rushed and the owners daughter customized the wedding gift I decided on at no extra charge. It’s very much a mom and pop shop and I felt appreciated as a customer. I will definitely return here for more gifts in the future and intend to checkout the bar sometime.

My husband and I have purchased so many gifts from Mary-Anne’s Irish Gift Shop, including our wedding rings. The quality of each product is superb. The beauty and styling of each piece is exquisite. Working with Mary-Anne is a pleasure.

My 10 year old foster son and I came to this store after I had researched it, and a 3 mile long walk from Norwood. Unfortunately, I felt we were greeted with hostility from the moment we walked in. I understand as a store owner it must be stressful to have children in a store with delicate items. However, I was made to feel that I was not properly supervising my son, and that we were not wanted in the store. The mother of the store owner made us feel a bit better, and the items are beautiful. However, we were also shooed out after a half hour, at about 3 PM, because they said they had to go to lunch. I would have liked to stay longer and Christmas shop more on Black Friday, esp after such a long journey and bc I am trying to support local businesses. But making someone feel unwanted the moment you step into a place is a terrible way to treat a customer, or even a fellow human being.

Took a trip up here from the east village to get a Christmas gift. It was well worth it! A neat shop with so many interesting items all over Ireland. The people that run it are fantastic and I’m planning to return to have a meal in the pub next door which they also own.

A serendipitous meeting at Connaughton’s Riverdale Steak House, lead me to an amazing discovery to Ireland via Mary-Anne's As I walked through an unassuming door the owner flashed a warm and inviting smile. She lights up the shop. Things got better and better. No pressure, just helpful guidance. Customer service and a positive customer experience of days gone by. There’s just about everything one could want or need for themselves or as gifts. There’s all price points and regardless of any level, the quality is great. It's a showcase of Irish tradition and artistry. It’s hard to truly convey how great Mary-Anne’s is. It’s absolutely worth the trip, the only negative is you won’t want to leave.

I love this store! Mary Anne was so helpful in picking out the perfect gift for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. I couldn't make it to the shop ahead of Valentine's Day, so I called to see what my options were. She wanted to make sure I picked out exactly what I wanted, so she took me through the store on a video call so I could see everything. She also made sure I got the gift in time for Valentine's Day by sending it down with a friend to Manhattan, (thanks to her friend also named Mary Anne!) She and her mother Anna went the extra mile to make sure I had the perfect gift, on time, for Valentine's Day. My boyfriend absolutely loved the gift, and the story that came along with it! Thanks Mary Anne and Anna!
