Key food is a smaller supermarket but has a wide variety of fresh & frozen foods. Majority of prices are much more then other stores.

This is one of the worst grocery stores I have ever been to. Prices are always terrible. There is no reason for eggs to be $5 for 12, tomatoes (only organic available) to be $6 for 2, and chobanis to be $2.50 each or $8 for a pack of 4. This is to name a few -- everything is at least 2x marked up. Absolutely outrageous -- the level of mismanagement to achieve this is unheard of. I fortunately live between this store and a Stop and Shop. I will gladly walk the extra 5 minutes to Stop and Shop and not even bother coming here from now on. For those stuck with KeyFood (as there is no other alternative), you deserve better, at least another competitor. Thanks for nothing, Keyfood.

I come here only out of necessity when I can’t make it to my usual supermarket. Prices are high and sales are few.

Our local Key Food is wonderful. Vinny, the manager always is friendly and obliging. The produce is fresh and of high quality, and the prices are reasonable.

Prices missing on shelves. Soda $2.99 tried to charge me $3.29. Misspricing happens alot at this store.

Decent supermarket. Frequently inconsistent item availability though. The staff and management are helpful.

When I was a Riverdale resident I had to go here because I haven’t had any alternative place for my grocery shopping nearby in the neighborhood. It's not as bad as is described in some people’s reviews, variety of products and quality are great, and the manager is actually quite a friendly guy and active in the neighborhood's FB group. But Riverdale deserves to have a Key Food competitor in the area.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck coming here because it's so close but I'm not impressed. Food is overpriced, produce is meh at best, selection isn't great but the staff is friendly. I would expect so much more from a grocery store here in Riverdale. This area is dying for a Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Wegman's, something that screams quality. KeyFoods is not.

So funny to see how low the reviews are. Can't stand this store. Just bought a half gallon of milk for 7.99 that costs 5.99 elsewhere. Can we not get a decent supermarket here, please?

Do not visit this location! Unfortunately, the folks here do not know customer service.Tonight I bought some groceries and was checked out by Sonham C at the register. I asked for a $100 cash back. She gave me an attitude and rudely said the limit was $40. There is no reason to talk to a customer like that! She walked out her register to speak to a manager and a few minutes later a manager arrived. The manager was also exceptionally rude a.d gave me an attitude. The manager failed to provide their name and rudely told me to "Google their name." When I said what was his name! Asking me why I needed to know his name! Here's the deal: if you don't like working with people or helping customers then you shouldn't work in retail - period!

Pretty decent supermarket, plenty of produce to choose from as well as all the kitchen essentials. The deli is good and doesn’t lack in quality. Decently well-kept area, no complaints concerning the service. Usually come here for missing ingredients and whatnot, they always have what I’m looking for in stock.

The store is fine, but get rid of the digital coupons. Have to be a computer engineer to access them, and there is no place on the website for help to get them. Easier to crack the Pentagon secret codes!

It is a sad commentary that Riverdale residents are captive if they don’t have access to a car and are forced to shop at the Key Food supermarket on 235th Street. I am one of the lucky residents who has a car and can travel to Yonkers, Hartsdale, Eastchester and other Westchester areas to avail herself of decent supermarkets. There are many elderly residents, unfortunately, who don’t have that choice. Pity them!I just returned from a walk and remembered that I was out of parsley. I had to throw at least three-quarters of it away. Most of it was turning to rot. A similar occurrence a couple of weeks ago with a head of romaine; also, way over the hill. And this says nothing about their prices. A small container of Fayeh yogurt is priced at Key Food at $2.09 at at Whole Foods at $1.69. This is only one example of their outrageous prices.I could go on and on. Riverdale needs more choices, and the management of Key Food should step up. There is so much room for improvement.
