I needed a New Pair of Prescribed Glasses (mine were damaged not to long ago).I came in with my love Norma, to help me pick out a New Pair of Glasses. Simone took the time, to help me choose the right lenses, and to explain all the things, I needed to know for my new pair replacement. We went with a progressive multifocal, Ultra High Definition, Anti Reflective, Transition Lenses. I went with a pair of Stetson Glasses ( Frames ). Which Norma Helped choose with me. We both loved the selection.Simone was extremely Courteous, Professional, Informative, Patient, and very helpful in getting all of this in order. My Glasses will be ready in about 2 weeks. I can not say how much, I would highly recommend her! To anyone looking for help to get prescribed Glasses or Contacts.Again Thank You Simone :)

Worst experience of my life. I scheduled my appt as required. All went smoothly, so I thought. As stated by Ms Rude and Unprofessional Marisol Cardenas, I was called two weeks later. I picked up my glasses, two weeks later I notice that the lenses were not properly placed on the frame so I returned them to the store and explained my concern to Marisol Cardenas, which at that point with her nasty attitude said that the frames were proper but that she would send them back. Two weeks later I receive a call the glasses are back and that the issue was resolved. So I drive back to the store and realize the glasses still the same. So I explain this to Marisol once again which now she says nothing I can do for you at this point and gives me the management department contact number. So I contact the management department and the gentleman states he will personally take care of my concern. Well a couple of days later he calls and tell me that for some unexplainable reason my prescription is not compatible with the frame I chose. He stated I should go to the store and choose a different frame. Still confused I drive back to the store. Again, Ms Marisol very rudely ignores me, now mind you she knows exactly what my issue is. There was another young lady there, I had to explain to her what I was there for. Ms Marisol rudely interrupts me to tell me that the frame that I choose has to be smaller than the last ones I previously had chosen. So I ask her whats the reason for that and she answers that if management didn't explain it to me, she didn't know why. So I try to find another frame, but all the frames I chose were too big. At this point I'm getting very upset, so I tell the young lady to check the size of the frames I'm using. She checks the size and tells me that they are the same size. Then I tell her so I just wanna understand why I need to choose a smaller frame and she tells me I have to speak with Marisol about that. In the interim of the young lady taking care of me, some other customers arrive. Marisol goes out of her way and tells the young lady to just let me choose whatever I want and that she should take care of the customers who just walked in. So I walk towards Marisol and I tell her nicely all I need to know is why the frame has to be smaller. At this point she tells me I have to wait till she attends the people that just came in. Mind you when I walked in the store no one was there and now I have to wait. So now I'm highly upset and I tell her this is b******* why the f*** do I have to wait. So the stupid PENDEJA calls security on me. So I'm like really, you know what I'm not dealing with your nonsense no more, I want a refund. Now I have to wait for management to approve this refund. Just so you guys know I'm an office manager for a very respected and highly recommended oral surgeon for the last 20 yrs, and I'm aware that customer service is very important to the practice. I would never treat my worst enemy the way I was treated in this place. I will never return to this hell hoe or recommend this place not even to my worst enemy. PS: The frames that I'm currently using, I purchased them online then went to Cohens Optical. They did my eye exam and then placed lenses on a frame that I didn't even purchase from them with no problem. With JC Penny I purchased their own frames and according to them they can't properly fit the lenses to the frame! Highly upset and frustrated Carmen Rodriguez

This is my first review on jcpenny optical . I originally met Marisol at jersey city location to get glasses for son. When I returned I found the location no longer in operation and an associate there told me she was relocated to NY in Bronx mall. Marisol left me with such a great experience and a great deal for my son, my wife was next to get glasses and I trusted her so I didn't mind traveling a little more. My wife was surprised at how Marisol and another associate teamed up to find her 2 eyeglasses she loved and how they made sure she stayed in her budget without sales pressure. Originally my wife choose 1 expensive frame and the price was but high for us and then Marisol suggested to try on a similar frame at a more reasonable cost. Thank you Marisol and the other friendly associate (sorry I didn't catch the name) for making it easy for my wife and another great experience. I'll be sure to return to update my sons eyeglasses or get "touch ups" like you suggested. BTW 4 stars due to distance but you guys are worth 5 stars.

So first of all, stupid me fell for the two pair of glasses for $99 lie. By the time they factored frames that would fit my face, my progressive lens needs, my transition lens needs, as well a whatever scratch, dust resistance lies they sell us were factored in, I ended up paying over $750 bucks. Who knew that you need to have a small face no need for prescription lenses or subscriptions to actually get two pair of glasses for $99. Did I mention the $99 for the eye exam that was separate from the deal? Well, they also sold me on the lie that for as long as I owned my glasses, they would service anything other than an updated prescription free of charge. Well, another lie stupid me was told and I believed. So my favorite pair out of the two broke, and so I went back to the store, where store manager Marisol Cardenas made me wait literally twenty minutes before she even spoke to me, and after waiting in line 20 minutes when she asked what I was there for, she made me wait another 12 minutes when she found out I was only there for a repair, while she took money and sold what I'm sure were more lies to another unsuspecting fool who came in for the sale and was actually paying for the pleasure of getting lied to paired with what will soon thereafter be crappy service, but without waiting in line was taken care of before me without having to wait 1/2 on line so at least they got that. When Marisol finally got around to my measly unimportant repair, she told me that the frame was unfixable although it was merely a leg that came apart from the metal attachment that gets screwed onto the main frame. Not only was my "lifetime" warranty expired after two years, but the frame was no longer in stock and it would cost me an additional $134 to put my very expensive lenses onto the new frame. So because I really like the pair of glasses I parted with yet another $134 for my two for $99 ($750) glasses and if I didn't mention to her that she needed to take my old, broken frame in order to put my lenses on the new one, then she would've let me walk out of the store with them, (after charging my card of course). She said it would take 7 to 10 days and I would hear from them as soon as they got them back. Well, two weekends later when I hadn't heard back I called the store, (another ordeal because the optical store is not listed as an option on the automated system), where a woman with a heavy Spanish accent sounded completely at a loss, and could not comprehend that my glasses were left there for repairs. After explaining myself another two times, she put me on hold, (not mute), and I could hear her taking care of another customer while I waited on the line. Finally, she comes back on and says - please a let me check on this for you, taking my name and date of birth, and I will call you back. Four and a half hours later I arrive at the store and come across good old Marisol who rather than apologizing for nobody getting back to me, stated, "We were busy, it just now started calming down", which is odd because just now implies that there would be customers leaving, but there was only one sitting down with another rep as I was walking up to the optical area. After taking my information again, Marisol said that it was still not time for my glasses to be picked up but that she would call just to appease me and get an update. When the line was answered on the other end, Marisol, who had left the phone on speaker for me to hear, was informed that she was sent an email the same day the order went in two weeks prior advising her that my particular frame was no longer available and as such my glasses would not be able to be repaired. So let me see - two weeks, not 10 days, but it wasn't time for them to come back. Email sent the same day the order went in - but you didn't get that one particular email? Did you even check Marisol? Too busy to get back to me by phone - but the store was empty when I got there? How many lies do I believe before I leave a yelp review

the worst experience ever: i called to make an appointment and the women that answered the phone told me that she couldn't understand english and that i should just walk in to see the doctor. she refused to speak with me and told me that english is not her first language and that she doesn't know the difference between an O and and L. this branch should be embarrassed that this is how they operate. you are supposed to be able to communicate with the public. wooooow!
