This place is a hidden gem. I was stressing about finding a particular solid core door in a weird size, getting quotes for crazy money everywhere else, and these guys said Yeah, we have it in stock, how many do you want? And delivery fast, across the Bronx for $10. Unheard of. Apparently they know their market and have all these weird items that wouldn't sell in Home Depot, but are all over the Bronx and Upper Manhattan. When the door arrived, there was a big chip in the corner, so I called. They immediately turned the delivery driver around to pick it back up, and sent me another door the next business day. No argument, no problem. Just very good at what they do, and affordably priced. The kind of neighborhood business I'm happy to support.

Always a more than pleasant experience when I visit this hardware store. Workers are always very helpful, polite, and very knowledgeable. Def one of the best hardware stores in NYC for sure.

Hurricane Ida impacted many people living in the Bronx and Lower Westchester, even those of who do not live in flood zones (go figure). I needed to replace my basement door and the big box store in the area was, as usual, useless; then I heard about Harrow Lumber & Hardware. Apparently, this is a well kept secret known to building superintendents and landlords. My handyman told me about them and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the product, the service, and the price! For me, this is a far better option and experience than the big box stores. Thank you David, for getting me my solid wood, custom cut door with no hassles.

Great Hardware store! Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. If they don't have what you need, they will locate it for you. Drivers, parking is available.

Owner is nasty, entitled, and rude. Most snobby individual I've ever met. He is rude, doesn't care about anything, lazy, and honestly just a terrible individual. He is irritable and aggravated from the beginning to the end of any conversation.

If you need some custom cut shelves, this is a good alternative for folks who live in Upper Manhattan. Easily accessible by bus (stop is very close to the storefront). Been there 60 years. I needed custom cut shelves for my closet.

Amazing prompt, professional service from all the workers. They are all knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery is reliable and on time. Wood is cut to your exact specifications.
