951 E 180th St #2035, Bronx“Garden Gourmet really is an oasis in this neck of the Kingsbridge-Riverdale woods. The quality is uniformly high, with a few exceptions, and the prices are decent. More expensive than, say, Stop & Shop across the street, but overall a vastly superior store. Produce selection is abundant, with plenty of organic options. You can tell the store has a buyer who cares about quality. Again, with exceptions. They occasionally sell Sunset brand products, like tomatoes, which are not good. They should do better quality control on tomatoes. Also, there are many bagged veggies, like spinach and salads, which can contain spoilage and are best avoided. I wish they would eliminate these, but I guess people like them because the veggies are pre-washed. But there are plenty of fresh alternatives to these. The meat and chicken section also is good quality, but can be pricey, except they have an excellent deal on Bell & Evans chickens, which are top-notch. (They also offer cheap mass-produced Perdue chickens which are tasteless, but can be avoided.) The butchered meat selection is not huge, more select, but good quality and reasonably priced. However, if you're going for processed packaged meats, like sausages and other deli cuts, they have tons of high-quality imports, along with quality sliced ham, turkey, and other cold cuts that they package themselves. Their fresh fish selection is small, but good quality and not cheap. Smoked fish, though? Huge selection. Then there's the cheese -- a superb curated spread that's massive considering the size of the store, with many great prices. One picayune exception: their house-made fresh mozzarella is bland. Luckily they have other brands. Garden Gourmet obviously prides itself on their house-made products, including bean salads, olives, slaw, potato salads, etc. -- and these are uniformly good. They also offer a TON of prepared cooked food for take-home meals, but I never buy that stuff because I cook for myself. It sure looks and smells good though. The GG has a HUGE selection of locally sourced bread off all types that blows away any supermarket. Also a nice pick of cakes and pies and other baked goods that are either house made or locally sourced. One other criticism of GG: Their coffee beans are inferior. I wish they'd get a new supplier for these. Othewise there is SO MUCH more I could say about this store -- like discuss their IMMENSE selection of products imported from mainly Eastern European countries -- but I've blabbed on enough. If the Garden Gourmet ever closed down I'd be shattered.”
“This store is very friendly and helpful many times I didn't have enough to get my toddler the snacks he desired but the guy would often let me slide in the most nice way and I noticed the kindness and sit I appreciate it wish there were more people out here like him because a lot of us single moms struggle low key”
“I rarely ever write a review about anything, but I will say I was in the neighborhood and decided to drop in and wow the amount of Fresh and delicious Latin cuisine/food is unmatched. The people who work there are so kind.”
“What an incredible find!!! We stepped into another world after visiting the Botanical Gardens. The array of specialty foods was dazzling. When we asked about some meats and cheeses to take home we were treated like royal guests. We were given tasted of prosciutto wrapped around freshly made ricotta drizzled with the best tasting balsamic vinegar ever. It was like taking a private food tour of Little Italy. The quality was superb and the cost was reasonable but the bast was the ambiance. Don't miss a visit to this store that has been in business for over one hundred years!!”

751 Forest Ave, Bronx“In the realm of epicurean delights, the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich at Freddy's Deli reigns supreme as a symphony of flavors and textures. Behold, a masterpiece unfolds before you: a soft, artisanal brioche, toasted to a golden hue, cradles a medley of ethereal delights. Imagine, if you will, the unparalleled sensation of sinking your teeth into clouds of impeccably scrambled eggs, entwined with velvety ribbons of melted Cheddar cheese, and enrobed by a blanket of meticulously caramelized bacon. Each bite invokes an opulent dance of smoky, savory, and creamy notes that culminate in an exquisite culinary crescendo. To partake in this ambrosial marvel is to surrender to a sensory journey that transcends the mundane, leaving an indelible impression that lingers as a testament to the artistry of Freddy's Deli. This is me and my wife after this masterclass of a meal.”
“I enjoyed how neat the place looked. I get smoothies, brand drinks and quality sandwiches from the place. This is right next to my clinic, so all the appointments I finish end with the quick meal and drink from this deli.”
“This place isn’t bad but it doesn’t have most things , but it could have been better tho , and it needs a update lowkey , there’s sum things that got to be done”

77 E Kingsbridge Rd, Bronx“Reasonable prices, good sandwiches and open 24/7. Mike is a cool guy. Top notch. Only reason for the 1 star deduction isn't because of the place itself, but rather the crackheads begging for change. Owners can't control that. Still, it's a decent place.”

3006 3rd Ave, Bronx“Always my number 1 place to grocery shopping, prices are reasonable, and NO ONE CAN BEAT THEM..... average Supermarket is way too expensive. I GOT 4 shopping bags, 2 plastic backs and one back pack full of groceries for 133.89. Yet in any supermarket same items would had cost me around 250.00 or more.”
“While being located near the yankee stadium, this is one of the most diverse supermarkets that I always enjoy going to. I love the variety of foods and how fresh they maintain the products. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh. I really like how some of the isles are separated to embrace different cultures and to make it easier to look for specific ingredients that you want. They certainly have a large selection of Vegan/ plant based options. The seafood section is extremely fresh and the employees there are extremely helpful. The spaces are clean and the items are easy to obtain while shopping. They also assist you with your parking ticket , when you spend one $100 dollars, they validate your ticket up to two hours. I love that about them. The staff and management are extremely helpful and this one of my favorite locations.”
“Bought a drink that looked good. Had a question about it so I asked an Employee who spoke no English. Ridiculous if your working at a grocery store in the United States, & you don't know any English.. Luckily there was a man who spoke English, & answered my questions. Respectful as well. I have a feeling he was an Assistant Manager. He seemed real on game.As for the drink I'll never buy it again. Every one has different taste, & love's different kinds. This one is not mine. Lol.”
“I would recommend this store, it had a good variety of africian food, seasonings and cosmetics. Their food looked very fresh, I brought ockra that looked like it was just picked. BUT what stood out to me the most was how kind ànd helpful the lady behind the counter was. I will definitely go back again!!!”
“My new favorite store. Stumbled in while my girlfriend had business in the area. Glad I did. Store has everything. From produce to deli. Selection of dry goods to your favorite roasts. Much more. Prices are OKPlenty of cashiers and store is kept clean. Juice milk soda beer. Etc. You will find it. I will continue to shop here.”
“Ben's Market is new and improved! This is still a very friendly neighborhood store, but now you have wider isles and more selections. It has almost everything you need. The produce is always fresh, prices are comparable and to layout of the store is fluid. The floor is amazing and the entire store has better lighting and be warned though it is a bit colder in the entire store. Take a hoodie or a scarf, if you plan to be in there for more than a few minutes. The check out is still quick and efficient and the experience is wonderful! Make your way to Ben's Market now!”
