This hair salon is horrible, They OVER CHARGE $60-$70 for a wash and set . That’s actually cost $25-$30 They are very rude. They have select favorite people from the area that they charge lesser prices to as well. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This place needs to be inspected, they don’t have no price list they just come up with prices in their head. Every time I go they tell me a different price. The owner is very GREDDY . How you a church lady and stealing customers money for a service?

HORRIBLE she charged me 70$ and I still TIPPED her not much just $3 for a regular wash & SET NO treatment & trim ends I’m so upset I let them rip me off .. they are taking advantage of people because of the low clientele but that’s not rightI cannot take the smell of my hair , I’m Spanish so this is not a race thing- she sat me down under the hairdryer for 45 min as they talked non stop , then blew dried my hair then flat ironed it.The smell of brunt hair is literally under my nose still .She didn’t even marked the cardThey should get new management in there it’s time for a change in the dryer locationServices: Haircut

If you are blacc do not come here, they charged me $50 and my hair ain’t even damn near below my chin. Secondly, the aunt/mother/ elder whoever tf had a lot to say about my hair in Spanish, but when I responded back the person actually doing it goes “oh you know Spanish?..she was just saying you have nice hair texture” girl ik what she said & it wasn’t that. Y’all tried it, & I see who y’all really cater to. It’s all good tho ? ? edit: and she practically ripped my hair out, you detangle from ends to roots my hair is 4A/4B and very curly when wet, I thought I was going to go bald how rough she was going !!

Do not do a silk Press here at Dominican Diva, my hair is damage because they did not take their time to care of my natural hair in the process. I usually do my own 4b hair and I decided to pamper myself to a silk press here at Divas. I had to tell Maria who wash my hair, to not use her sharp acrylic nails to massage my scalp. She was more like scratching and not massaging. I felt like blisters/cuts in my scalp once she was done. After that she comb through my hair so roughly to get my hair into rollers. Horrible experience! Never again!!! So after that I thought the next associate would be better. She was just the same, she barely sprayed very little heat protector in my hair. And she burned my hair and scalp to a pulp! Then charge me $80. My hair did not revert back after I washed it recently. Sisters! Please do your research before going to any of these places! I hope this review helps! This place was on Dyre Ave in the Bx and was the worst!!!!!! Save your hair Ladies and Gents!!!Service: Hairstyling

This places does not service African America or what they consider black hair. They raise their prices to unreasonable rates. They tried to charge me $60 for a wash and set based on my “hair texture”. Poor staffing. They take their time to the point of wasting your time. They also do a terrible job doing young adult tween hair by over blow and using excessive heat.Services: Hairstyling

The owner used super hot wax on my eyebrows. I didn’t realize it at first until i woke up the next morning with scabs under my eyebrows where she waxed. I never went back or complained.

Over priced for nothing extra. How I went from paying $25-$30 for a wash and set and during and after a hopefully soon to be gone pandemic, to paying $50 for nothing extra. The world is opening back up, yet I am a single mother who wants to treat herself but cannot because I cannot bring my six month old daughter with me. I cannot possibly get my hair done after work (4pm) and expect to be out in time to get my daughter from daycare. They start your hair then start someone else and now I'm waiting on top of over paying. Please make it make sense. It's not just the hair salons. It's the nail salons as well. I am not cheap but to pay so much and it's not even a style, that's ridiculous. Do not start me on their price on coloring my hair ?

This salon is conveniently located near Dyre Avenue subway station. It is literally in walking distance. The shop is so clean. Everything was spotless. Except the caution tape on two of the chairs. The reason I gave three stars is because of the prices. First of all, a price list isn't posted. Which consumers should stay away from any business that doesn't visibly have a price list. But I went for it anyway...twice! Both experiences were for my seven year old son who has a fade haircut. Which literally means there's longer hair at the top of his head. His hair is probably 12 inches long. The first time, I was charged $60 for a wash, deep conditioning, blow dry and trim. The second time (yesterday) I was charged $50 for a wash, deep conditioning and blow dry. In hindsight, I feel as though I was taken advantage of. There's no reason why I paid full head prices for a child. Secondly, I'm not downplaying the service received. Because the lady who washed his hair was patient and thorough. But the prices are too damn high for what I need! I will say the language barrier is also annoying. Both employees couldn't speak English. The credit card machine is down. At this point, it's safe to say they only accept cash. So, know before you go! Bring cash or you will be using the ATM at the Fish Market.
