I received a gift from this Danice store for Valentine’s Day; a sweater from my Aunt. The gift came with a receipt so I decided to exchange it as I wasn’t too crazy abt the sweater. I took the sweater back and found 2 items to exchange it for. Might I interject here that, the clothing in this store lag big time. This store gives off more of a thrift store vibe than an actual clothing store. The selections are awful and the store is bare. Nonetheless, when I got to the register, there was an African man behind the counter. I placed the sweater onto the countertop and he looked at me and the sweater as if I and it were scum. He picked up the sleeve as if it had mud on it and he barely wanted to touch it. Mind you, never wore the sweater and I had it approximately 6 days. So I happened to be on the phone while he was eyeing me and the sweater, but I immediately got off the phone when I realized there was some sort of problem. So my demeanor immediately shifted negatively as a result of his ‘disgust’. He then decided to pick up the sweater and scan the receipt to proceed with the exchange. So he finally opens his mouth and says, nastily, “You cannot return this!” So because of his accent, I didn’t understand him and I said, “Excuse me?!?” and he said, in a now lowered tone, “You cannot return this!” (Referencing one of the new items I picked up to exchange with the return item) So I responded, “Okay?” and he continued on and scanned my 2nd item. Then said, “This item you can return”. I responded, “Okay?”. I guess he realized by my now, annoyed energy, that he better keep his attitude to a minimum. The remainder of the transaction was done in silence. He folded my 2 items, (a sweater and a pair of leggings) and put my new receipt on top of the clothing, and turned his back to me. Part of me wanted to take the clothes he’d folded and toss it at the back of his head, but instead I simply said, “Thank you”. Of course I got no response back. He didn’t even offer me a bag to put the clothes in. Fortunately I had one.Let me tell you, as a person who has worked several years in retail before, I intentionally am polite to sales associates because, I GET IT! However, the look and demeanor from this particular gentleman was absolutely deplorable! And I’m sure he was the store manager. To size me up and the sweater up, that was bought for me from this raggedy store, was insulting! Because had it not been a gift you would never catch me in this place. Not only did I tell the person to never buy me anything from this place again, I informed several neighbors in the neighborhood and within my building, to no longer shop here either. Because, I don’t know who you think you are but you met your match! I’m a finesser. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years. I know everybody! I don’t argue. I don’t go back n forth. I smile and I nod. Cause I handle things on a much higher level. Your store will be out of business simply because you had the audacity to look at me and talk to me as if I were scum! This store is sloppy, and a waste of space. We need another pharmacy in this neighborhood anyways so shut it down and give us what we really need. Never shop here if you don’t want to be made to feel as if you’re beneath the cashier. Shameful! Shape up or be forced to shut down!

The store is Ok. A good place to shop of you are operating on a budget. The must frustrating is that at times the clothing prices on the racks, don't match up with the prices they ring up at the register. You must watch the register here and speak up if the price is not what the signage listed. The cashier that was there on the day I was there was unprofessional and rude.

Whole racks of items are mis labeled price wise. You will love up an of thinking it is one price and when you get to the register items ring up another price. Management her is crappy and one particular cashier is rude and unprofessional. Customer service at this store is non existent. They need to fix that if they want to keep this store open.
