This place is a joke. These people are swindlers. They came to my mother’s home in Co-Op city to fix her front door lock and charged her $90 to spray the lock with WD40.Please do not come here for issues with your lock go somewhere else.

Extremely disappointed with job done. I contracted these people because I did not want to go through the trouble of having someone come in to measure things and then do the job however that was the worst decision I ever made. Before they take your money they are extremely nice, but then after they start working they do not do a great job with trying to fix their errors, unless you pay them more money. I asked them to install fans with light fixtures and he said no worries, we will handle it,. And they installed fans that sat low from the ceiling, and instead of letting me know prior to installing the second onethey went ahead and installed both. Unfortunately, I was not there and left them keys, worst mistake I did. To my surprise, I was charged more for the job than originally discussed. I then had order a ring camera and ordered a wired one and asked them if they knew how to install, they lied again and said sure, when I came home, they did not know how it worked and when I went to best buy, I found out it was the wrong camera and it was not installed correctly. They overcharged me for blinds than originally discussed price. The worst of all was the paint job, when they retouched, it took weeks before they finish retouching and they used the wrong color of paint to retouch my living room and now I did not receive a call back. I am considering taking them to small claims court as what they did to me was horrible business tactics. Lastly, when I was paying the other portion I owed, I noticed he was insisting to get payments in cash, but meanwhile charged me tax for the job, yet demanded to receive payments in cash opposed to debit card payment. He also has the nerve to charge me an exaggerated fee for using my debit card for deposit without warning me prior to additional charge. I was supposed to have additional jobs done but suspended the thought of additional business with these people. Beware!! I do not recommend anyone to do business with this hardware store.

Can't even cut keys that work, and talks down to customers after they make a mistake. Go somewhere with people that were raised to have manners.

Ordered blinds but blinds delayed. Had to contact business, they never contacted me as to status of blinds. When blinds came and installed, one set of blinds in bedroom needed adjusting. When I went to the store twice to ask for adjustment to blinds, nothing. Will not use this store again.

This is not a serious business. Called to see if an item was in stock. Guy/ owner on phone said yes but they close at 4:30pm today although Google says 5:45. I ran across the street and arrived at 4:15pm to see that they place was locked up and seemed to have been closed..don’t usually go to this hardware store due to overprice on everything but was desperate. The guy who runs the store seems like he doesn’t want business anyway so will be driving to Home Depot. Wish could give no stars!

Horrible experience with Dal paint & hardware.I needed blinds & the blinds on display were the ones I thought I would get, but they installed ugly outdated & overpriced ones. I could not live with them & had to go to the trouble of paying to have them removed & returning to Dal.

My mother needed a bathroom vanity. They brought one in, did a poor install and charged her $1,100.00. Because of the horrible install, It became damaged soon and needed to be replaced. I ordered what I thought would be a similar item from Amazon for $169.00 and installed it yesterday. To my surprise, I realized it was the exact same model Dal had installed! They also ripped her off on a custom kitchen cabinet. They were given explicit instructions on what was needed along with drawings. What they installed was NOT what was requested. They also refuse to respond to complaints and won't refund. Stay away! Theycome across as nice, but they're actually dishonest and ripp off senior citizens in the area.

I always go there because I get great service and they have almost everything I need. There are no easy ways to get to Home Depot & it's nearly impossible to get someone to help you.

They have almost everything I need. They are very nice to me. I will be needing some work done in my apartment so I'm going for it. Home Depot is bigger and have more products. However, no busses go there so you either take a cab or you have to walk. "NOT"!

I will never use this store again nor will I recommend it to anyone. Co-op City needs to bring in another hardware store that offers quality work at reasonable prices. Very disappointed in the work Dal Hardware did in my apartment .

In an age where customer service is lacking, this place is a throwback to when the customer was king! Caters to co-op city residents, knows layouts of all apartments, professional service at a fair price.
