I went into Ocean First Bank on Katonah Ave in the Bronx. I wasn't greeted upon my arrival. I simple went to inquire about opening up a Checking and Savings account being that I've heard wonderful things about Ocean First Bank. Boy where those folks wrong. Natalie Perez proceeded to open the account she had asked me for 2 forms of I.D. And a Bill from a bank or utility form. I gave her an old Citi Bank bill. Natalie proceeded to read my mail while walking to the copy machine and then inquired about the $139 I owed citi bank which I believe was improper on her behalf. When I told Natalie it was an old bill and had nothing to do with what I was trying to accomplish today. She got extremely nasty her words where "We ain't opening up your account" as she threw my documents on the customer table where everyone signs for there checks. In my 34 years of living have I ever been this modified and disrespected in a professional atmosphere. I then asked for the Managers name and email and she refused to give me any of the information. I had then asked a bank teller for the information and she'd given me the wrong name Carleen Davis when it's Carleen Glen. I do not know what happen to Natalie today but it's affected my whole day. I hope work isn't as horrible as my experience with Oceans First Bank on Katonah Ave. I have a meeting with Carleen Glen 10am Tuesday to see what they can do that this doesn't happen to another guest in their establishment.
