Do not take your pet there if it's an emergency!! My cat died an hour later after returning home and paying 125$ walking fee that wasn't discussed when I called. They are money hungry and inhumane. Comment for more details!
. ...My cat wasn't well enough to wait 2-3 hrs if she was she wouldn't have died when I reached back home!!
On 10/18/24 around 4:15pm I called the animal hospital of Morris Park extremely concerned about my 10 year old cat melissa. The representative I spoke with named Eissa (don't know correct spelling) welcomed me to bring my cat in before 8pm. I arrived at the animal hospital of Morris Park about 5pm. When I arrived an Attendant came out and told me there was a 120$ examination fee and explained that she needs to take my cat to the back (without me) to access her to see if she's well enough to wait 2-3 hours before being examined because we were a "walk-in". I was totally unaware of any fees as no one explained that to me over the phone. However, I was desperate to get my cat help even though I had to borrow the money and was totally against letting her go get accessed alone. However, when the Attendant brung my cat back she assured that my cat melissa was well enough for the wait.
Finally around 8pm they were ready to see my melissa. The vet asked; "what brung me in today" I explained; "my cat is breathing funny, wont eat and was vomiting" But, has been surprisingly drinking more water than ever (because she eats wet food and hardly drinks water at all) During the examination the vet asked me questions as he took Melissa's temp (never telling me what her temp was) I showed him her last vaccines (april 2024) he then excused himself and came back in with another; I guess, senior vet that asked me more questions. Ie :does my cat have aids etc. I assured him that up until 2 days ago my cat has always been healthy and is strictly an inside cat. He mentioned her breathing and seems to be dehydrated all which I already knew (that was obvious) and part of why I brought her there. He didn't give me any insight on what could be the cause of this, what it could be, or that she was terminally ill in dying stage. I assured him something is wrong with my cat she isn't even standing. he responded with paper work he already had in his hand requested over 700$ more to run test to see what's wrong. WHAT DID I PAY 120$?! just for him to tell me what I told him when he asked what brung me in today?! I left with no insight. No peace of mind. I left the animal hospital after paying 120$ with the same objective observation I came in with before the exam. And After waiting almost 3 hrs to be seen and paying 120$ cash JUST FOR MY CAT TO DIE A HOUR AFTER I GOT HOME!! IM DEVASTATED!! I FEEL SCAMMED. IM POOR AND FEEL LIKE I WAS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF BECAUSE OF MY DESPERATION TO GET MY CAT HELP WHEN I RECIEVED NONE. MY CAT IS DEAD NOW. SHE WAS NOT WELL ENOUGH TO WAIT THAT LONG TO BE SEEN. IN THAT TIME SHE NEEDED FLUIDS AND PAIN MEDICATION AND RECIEVED NOTHING AND DIED UNCOMFORTABLY IN PAIN. THIS IS INHUMANE!!! AND IM REQUESTING A FULL REFUND OF 120$ FIR MY PAIN AND SUFFERING.

I had an appointment Saturday Oct 19. I will admit , l was 10 minutes late. They do not have parking. So when I show up at there office they have two. The hospital and the clinic being this was my first time I just head on in. The very rude, unfriendly and clearly unmanored receptionist child told me I was late actually 12 minutes because I was at hospital and not the clinic "for like two minutes " I proceed to apologize for the lateness. She cuts me off to let me know it will now be concerned a walk in and it will cost 150.00 dollars for the exam and the wait will now be two to three hours! Needless to say I left. I understand policy but REALLY??. Clearly it's just a business to them. My poor doggy limped in and had to limp right back out with no relief for his bad hip. I will never ever go to a vet that only see money when you walk in the door. The animals should alwsys come first and NEVER pay the price for the humans mistake. I would have waited if need be. But shouldn't there be an alloted time for each animal? 10 or 12 minutes late should not cancle everything? I am not a client and now do to the nasty receptionist child. I NEVER WII BE. I hope they learn to do better by others animals then they did my doggy.

There is a long wait to see the Vet. Even with an appointment. In Lola's case, I feel the vet didn't really know what was causing her hair loss. He prescribed medication the did NOT work at all. I wasn't happy and it cost me almost $600. Ugh

I definitely recommend this animal hospital to anyone. I bought my doggie three months ago, almost dying to this place and without any doubt the vet's assistant took her right way to examiner. Thanks to the action my dog is a health one now. I used to bring her to "Armory Dog & Cat Hospital" in Kingsbridge Road and this place refuse to take my dog who was dying, they did not have no compaction for me and my dog, but they are really good to charge for services and did not care for the dog. Therefore, I highly recommend this place and thanks for they amazing hearts for our pets.

Junk vet science in the Bronx. This place is just as bad as Westchester Sq vet office. SLOPPY. They have male techs there more than ready to man-handle your pet into submission. Wait times are long as hell. They have staff there evaluating the condition of your pet before hand that shouldn't even be doing that sort of work. They are not qualified to do those types of evaluations. IRRESPONSIBLE. I ended up in the ER with my pet after spending 4hrs at this spot. Not the first time either. Just tired of paying a lot of $ for bad service.
