Horrible customer service, went in to locate a simple screw and I guess since I wasn't spending ? I wasn't important enough. Recommend going down the road to Watermill Lumber

A long-valued institution on Main Street that’s indispensable to life in Bridgehampton. Without exception, everyone at Thayer’s (from Roger on down) is helpful, conscientious, well-informed, and simply friendly. What a breath of fresh air it is these days to be able to walk into a local business and get a question answered, or get some help with a purchase. I’ve long been a patron of both the hardware store and the outdoor furniture shop — where, don’t be fooled: the few items that make it out to the patio barely scratch the surface of what they carry, or will order. Always happy to give them my business, and wishing them all the best.

Could these folks be any more obnoxious? It's as if they are doing you a favor by selling you something. I'll drive an extra half hour to avoid this place and their bad attitude.
