“The owner operator was a very nice gentleman. My wife and I had a wonderful conversation with him. The store is packed with all types of antiques. We bought a few items that brought us back to our childhood.”
“Love working with Lynn. I’ve had a few things framed with her and they all have turned beautifully. She listens, suggests and treats the experience as a partnership.”
“This is by far the most interesting and diverse antique stores I have ever visited. The sheer diversity of items is overwhelming and the prices are extraordinarily reasonable.”
“You can not furnish a home or business on Shelter Island...or anywhere...without Marika's. Unique, beautiful, furniture, endless lamps, chairs, bed, so many one of a kind pieces...Mid-century, vintage...people come from East End, Hamptons to see what's new and wonderful. Marika is the best!”
“Thank you Elizabeth and Bob for helping us repair a Moroccan Mosaic tile and wrought iron patio table and chairs which had fallen on hard times and which we found on the side of a road. Rusted with four broken chairs , we saw possibilities and The Irony restored the beauty we envisioned. They sandblasted and powder-coated all the wrought iron, rebuilt the chairs which were once a folding style into a stationary style and replaced the broken seats with stainless steel mesh.
Their workmanship and attention to detail is amazing!”
“I had a wonderful experience at Dworkin & Daughter this morning! The owner was nothing but polite and friendly! She and I had a wonderful conversation about her shop, her items, and the sentimental value she has for them. She told me about her travels and past as well. She sold me one of her very loved pieces from her own collection so I can gift it to my mother. She was so lovely and so excited it was going to a home where it would be appreciated. This is easily the best antique shop I have had the pleasure to visit so far. I have the outmost respect for the owner and her business and anyone is lucky to get to know her!”

36 Jobs Ln, Southampton“What a beautiful, classy antique shop with lots of amazing items! In a city with a lot of competition, Ann Madonia definitely distinguishes itself with its unique, lovely merchandise and helpful salespersons. We are in the market for a hutch/china cabinet. We found an incredible one here - 19th century made of Mahogany with brass handles and a fold out drawer that serves as a bar. It was stunning. The five figure price tag was way out of our budget, but the sales lady was still interested in working with us and would come down in price. She showed us a desk and a dresser that would complement the piece. We were in love with all three. To name just a few other things they sell - they also had water pitchers, tables, lamps, sculptures and art. I found the art particularly lovely. I really wanted the wicker buffet server as an accent piece. I may go back and buy it... If you're antiquing in South Hampton, make Ann Madonia a sure stop on your agenda. You won't be disappointed.”
“This home store is just lovely. Everything they have is high quality and unique. You can really get lost in there, there’s so much to look at! Chris, was wonderful and gave me amazing recs for other places to try around the area. Must stop in!”
