If I could give them a zero or a negative number I would. DO NOT under any circumstances ever take out a loan from this institution. They do not answer their phones. They do not provide an email address to contact them. Their website chat does not appear to know what it is doing. Unresponsive to Better Business Bureau complaint. Agree with Kevin K. who wrote, "Worst financial institution we've ever used. Long wait times on hold. Unbelievable bureaucracy to prevent you from withdrawing your own money. Reported to NCUA and NYS. Deceptive practices". Please look elsewhere and save yourself a lot of distress and disappointment.

My experience was with the folks who help out over the phone. I called in and after a bit of a wait on hold I spoke with a fellow named Andre Duncan who was very thorough and helpful in my complex situation. When I ran into some trouble filling out a form he emailed me I decided to try "Chat" instead of the phone. THAT'S THE WAY TO GO FOLKS - instant help, no waiting. Long story short, Katie R. was super friendly, super helpful, and she stayed with me on the phone until everything was completed even though she stayed late to ensure that it got done. I have a background in banking, including starting a community bank, so I can tell you that you should not trust your finances with a big bank. Go with a small bank, or better than that, a credit union (like TFCU). They are nonprofit banks and nonprofit means a lot when you are dealing with people who are giving you advice and care.

I'm a FedEx employee and needed access to funds from the acct I opened online through FedEx . So one of the branch I was referred to was TFCU which I had no clue I can easily go to to withdraw funds. This bank is very clean and neat and very quiet . I guess being that it's not a commercial bank there's not too much traffic , nonetheless , the associate who assisted me was very polite and courteous and I would go back there again .

There’s only ever 2 tellers and they LOVE to chat for several minutes with anyone who will talk so depositing your money takes forever.

Teachers FCU should close down honestly. They don’t know how to do business with members. Take out your loans with any other bank. They have high rate and terrible customer service

Never again!!! I work nights and woke up 3 hours early to make an important time-sensitive cash deposit with this shared branch of Service Federal Credit Union, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire (great Bank! 34 yr. Cust) Filled out deposit slip etc, etc. They miscounted my cash but I didn't catch it right away. Strike one! 10 minutes more recounting! Ready to finalize the deposit and the a teller enters my member/account number wrong twice! She said, "you only have one more try here"! Really! Strike two! She finally enters the correct numbers into computer. Then the "thing" behind the counter says she has to check with the manager about my deposit! Really!? She comes back and says manager won't accept my deposit because I don't have an account there!!! Strike three! Shared branches always accommodate Federal Credit Union customers. I was treated like I was homeless and trespassing! This sketchy, rude, incompetent establishment has no business being in business! I have $7,500. commission/profit riding on this deposit!!! Have to make this deposit by Monday and that's down-to-the-wire! Don't waste your time or subject yourself to their abuse. There are many credit unions and banks which actually understand how important good customer service is. Teachers Federal Credit Union of Briarwood Queens New York does not! I'M SURE my treatment there had nothing to do with the fact that I'm a 60 something-year-old white guy and everyone in there was an employee of color?? But I'm making it my mission to share my effed-up experience on every possible rating website.UPDATE: went early Monday toTEAM FCU in Jamaica Queens. Called ahead first. The wonderful ladies there were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient!? The total opposite of Teachers FCU!?Made my deposit and secured my $7,500 business Commission! Pwew!? just in time!

The teller offered some helpful information and asked the manager, Bruce (as told to me), to try to assist me. Bruce was nice and helpful in getting my transaction processed. He offered courtesy where others may not have been. And I'm thankful for that. So, no complaints here. I was satisfied as well as could be.One star was taken off because I scheduled an appointment via online after talking to an telephone rep. The appointment was not honored and the telephone rep gave me incorrect information about the local branch.

Member Service slow. So slow you would think that they do not care about you, your time, or your money. I was not the only one that felt this way.
