Quiet, secluded area. The rooms are very clean, you are in the woods so expect critters to possible be brought or seen in room. But so clean and beautiful area. Hike the many trails, you won't regret it.
Safety: Felt sage the entire stay
Walkability: Lost of walking to do for the views.
Food & drinks: Place has its own restaurant, but pack snacks and anything else you want on the trails, you won't find stores to get things you need.

I recently attended a boot camp with Black Public Media at Edith Macy Center, and it was a lovely stay overall.
The location of the center, nestled among 405 wooded acres in Briarcliff Manor, New York, offers a serene retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. However, I did find a couple of aspects that could be improved upon.
While the rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, I was disappointed that they were not cleaned daily. However, the staff did provide fresh towels and other amenities each day, which helped mitigate this inconvenience.
Additionally, the parking lot was quite far from the main building, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues. However, the van service provided quick pick-up and drop-off, which was appreciated.
I would not recommend Edith Macy Center for individuals with disabilities or those who require accessibility accommodations, as there are many stairs and no elevator on the property.
On a positive note, I was impressed by the center's commitment to sustainability, as evidenced by their Gold Level of Sustainability award from the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC). It's clear that Edith Macy Center values environmental stewardship and strives to minimize its ecological footprint.
Overall, my experience at Edith Macy Center was positive, and I would recommend it to others looking for a peaceful and picturesque venue for meetings or retreats.

I joined my G.S. team here from 11/5-11/7. The beautiful surroundings first caught my eye...405 acres of peace, tranquility, and nature. I wish I could have stayed longer just to explore more. Waking up to the sunrise was incredible!! Upon check-in, I was met by Peter Stafford, who welcomed me and shared information concerning the location of the room. Brian, the bus driver, and another gentleman, who I embarrassingly cannot remember his name now, took our luggage to our lodging area and helped us get around over the few days. I am so delighted with the accommodations that the Food and Beverage staff shared. I was never made to feel uncomfortable or treated as though I was difficult. They went out of their way to make sure I had food I could eat even with my allergies. A huge THANK YOU to Aquime, James, Dan, and Nariccisa for the best customer service and all-around kindness. I may not remember the girls' names at the front desk or others on the staff, but I just want to thank each and every one for making my trip wonderful. The room was clean and I had everything I needed...the bottles of water were a lovely surprise. Amazing team, beautiful atmosphere, and a rejuvenating experience...one that I highly recommend to others!!! THANK YOU, AGAIN!!!Rooms: Spacious, well-cared for clean!Walkability: Great space for walking and the best accommodations if you need assistance getting around. While I appreciate the exercise, it was peace of mind knowing that if I needed a ride, it was there.Food & drinks: 10+ for accommodations and healthy choices!Noteworthy details: Just a beautiful atmosphere! Being one with nature, s'mores at the fire pit, seeing a hawk up close, the bright red and yellow leaves that popped in the woods, the lake, the view...all amazing!

This place was very nice for a conference. It was pretty too. Food was ok. Staff friendly . Rooms nice and clean. Bathroom had confusing locks but was super clean and felt like a wedding bathroom. Went for a hike on our break. There maps are totally garbage and did not show the area properly . My only complaint for the place was the maps for the trails.Walkability: Huge walk from parking lot to conference center. Have trails here so don't wear heals if you want to walk around

I've attended events at the Edith Macy Center over the years and didn't realize I had never written a review. I have never stayed there - so this is just for the conference center. The parking situation is something to be aware of - don't expect to just park and waltz in. It's a beautiful area with rolling hills and parking is away from the actual conference building - so plan to take a shuttle. Shuttle drivers are friendly and helpful as are the other staff that I encountered.I didn't partake in the food options but friends and colleagues rave specifically about how great the breakfast is.The conference rooms are very nice, everything is wheelchair accessible and there's a good sized auditorium for keynote speakers and larger audiences. Great place to have an event!

Was just here for a weeklong retreat and i cannot say enough good things about this venue. Firstly, the staff are outstanding. Their service and attention to detail, their kindness and overall attitude is just top notch. The facilities are fantastic. The grounds are beautiful. The guest rooms are top notch. The food is absolutely the best out there. If your company or agency is looking for a venue for a working retreat, don’t look anywhere else. You have found THE place.

It is the most charming place I have visited, it has a good image, good service, excellent quality food, it is designed for wheelchairs, quite clean, first class attention, and above all the interior decoration is aimed at a group of girls, it's fabulous; with a sublime view covered by lakes and trails.
