Bob is a savior! A close family friend passed away and his prized car sat in the garage untouched for 5 years. We took over the care and its restoration. It had wiring issues, body issues, parts needed replacement and we couldn't even get it able to be inspected. Bob meticulously went through the car one issue at a time and followed the road to the next problem until it was fixed. His Jaguar knowledge is impeccable and if you can find someone who cares more about what he does then him, I would be shocked. His parking lot full of treasures shows you how much people trust him with their iconic cars. I enjoy just seeing what else he's working on as much as him fixing our project. We have since wrapped it, powder coated the wheels and are an interior repair and detail away from full restoration. The car has the life it deserves in Joe's honor and we can't thank Bob enough for giving that to us.

Since I was very young, I have dreamed of owning a Studebaker Avanti. We were born the same year so I felt we had a cosmic connection. Imagine my surprise when my wife told me to run downstairs because we had a delivery and there was one sitting in our driveway (along with our extended family) there to see my face as her surprise unfolded. The car was perfect on the outside but needed some TLC. Neither my wife nor I are particularly mechanical and I had never owned a car with a choke so I was more than a little scared and intimidated. Truth be told, I went months not able to start it and not able to find anyone who could help me fix it. When dealing with an older car, I found I could tell which repair shop or mechanic would do a good job. I made too many mistakes and was ready to give up when I was introduced to Bob Millstein at Briarcliff Classic & Imported. I felt instantly that my car would get the care and attention it deserved and that I would soon have "a really fun car to drive every day." The twinkle in Bob's eye's reassured me. As did his team who tracked down some very hard to find parts and brought it up to a tight, well handling machine that has me smiling non-stop as I drive it. Their care, patience and enthusiasm for my baby was extraordinary. Good mechanics are hard to find but this Team is far more than that. They proactively ordered some extra parts as they found them for future updating and took me on frequent test drives along the way to show their progress and keep me informed. I couldn't be happier. For anyone with a classic car or even a new one, that wants extremely personalized service, this is the place to go. I am 1000% certain you will drive away as happy as I did.
Should you see me in my Cinnamon Red Avanti driving around Westchester with a sh*t-eating grin, know it's because Briarcliff Classic & Imported cared as much as they did.

I've been bringing both of my vehicles (vintage and contemporary) to Bob and the team at BCI for more than 8 years now. Bob has been nothing but straightforward, transparent and measured in his approach to servicing vehicles and remedying issues.
Bob always takes the time to explain options available if there is an issue with a vehicle and what each one entails, being transparent about pricing and level of effort required along the way. As a serious motoring enthusiast, I respect Bob's approach to maintenance and upkeep, and never have to worry about the work being performed on my vehicles whilst under his care.
If you're in the Westchester/Putnam/Fairfield county area, I would 10/10 recommend bringing your vehicle to Bob and the team at BCI.

I’ve been a happy customer for many years. Honest, professional, communicative, and the best at what they do. There is a reason they’ve been open for 50 years!

My 32 year old Saab Convertible has just returned from Bob Millstein and his team at BCI. Visiting Bob is fun and stress free. Clearly loves his "Classic" cars and wants to see them up and running. Very straightforward about costs, time, and any other challenges coming with age and use. Thanks to all at BCI. Hugh BW

Bob has been in business for 50 years and takes care of my Austin Healey 3000 (fully restored) and super low mileage XJ6. There is no one better to work on English / classic cars than Bob and his team.

Bob and his team at BCI are wonderful. They have helped bring my 1972 Mercedes convertible back to life. You can tell they are passionate about what they do by their attention to detail and knowledge. I know nothing about cars, particularly a car that’s older than me (only by a year ;)). I could have been taken advantage of but everything that was done had been explained to me and was necessary for the good of the car to make it the best ride possible.Do not hesitate to take your classic to Bob and his team. You will be in very good hands.

Horrible experience!!! I called to ask to get my 1977 Ford Maverick carburator rebuilt or if the new part I purchase was a good fit, since I'm not sure, obviously. Someone called "Bob" answered the phone and had me wait a week to see if I could be scheduled to bring the car to check it out. Once I called again, he was very rude interrupting me from the beginning, as I spoke on the phone just to not understand what I needed done. Nothing worse than a person trying to talk over you when they are suppose to listen for what you are calling them for. I dont know if this person has any issues but he seemed completely different from the first time I reached out to this repair shop. He dismissed me by saying "he had too many problems" and hanging up the phone on me. I know that as a potential client, this behavior from his part is unacceptable. Number 1, If for any reason he is not sure what I need, he should just let me explain!!! Interrupting someone who is talking because you asume you got the details right without letting them finish talking, could make you look like a fool. Number 2, once it's clearly understood what you are needed for, if for some reason you can't help, then say so with respect, professionalism and be polite. And number 3, I don’t understand why I called last week explaining the same stituation with my car to then be asked to call again, for him to be rude to me and for no reason! Never again, Bob!

I just heard Bob over the speaker talking to my wife being rude on the phone. He made us wait a week after it was explained to him what the car needed to then behave this way when we reached out to him again as he requested. Crazy man!

Took my ‘03 XKR to Briarcliff, to diagnose a few thorny issues that had stumped other “skilled” mechanics — and found out what skill actually is. Briarcliff is the best of the best - they love these cars and know how to make them run as they were designed to — something that even the factory didn’t always do. I will never take my Jag anywhere else from now on — once you experience service and expertise on this level, your search for a partner for your classic car is finished. Bravo.

I took my 1999 Porsche Carrera to them for the dreaded IMS bearing service/replacement, I dropped the car off on Thursday, and picked the car up Monday, while Bob was doing the job, he recommended doing the clutch, and main seal, since he was in "there" anyway. Fixed a bad ignition coil, and few other items he sorted out, and the car runs as if it just came from the dealer, smooooth as silk, with all it's pep restored. These guys love cars and which is so apparent in attitude and work quality. Couldn't be happier, I have several older European cars that will now be serviced there exclusively.
