My Mother is 95 years old. She was in hospice for a little over a year. During that time, they ordered a hospital bed, which she needed. She can no longer walk, and has Alzheimers. A few months after being discharged from hospice, I began to receive calls from Cynthia at Respiratory Specialists. I can't stress enough how incredibly rude and threatening Cynthia is. She wanted the hospital bed returned! I called Medicare on the advice of her Social Worker. O spoke with Jean (Medicare) who told me that the bed was paid for, after checking the records. I called back Cynthia and gave her the information. Cynthia insisted the bed be returned or we have to pay $1200.00. Mom is on Medicaid, section 8 and food stamps. We don't have the money, plus, Jean at Medicare said her insurance paid for it. Cynthia would not listen, refused to call Medicare, and not once did she ask or care how my Mother is doing. Mom is dying a slow horrible death. My stress is through the roof. Cynthia threatened that someone will be coming to pick up the bed. I suppose they'll just place my Mother on the floor. Cynthia is the most heartless and uncaring person I've ever encountered. Cynthia has caused me more stress and worry. Absolutely shameful.
