Rooms: Some rooms allow dogs. Make sure you specify if you don't want barking neighbors.. Rooms are slightly dated but very spacious. Includes in-room Nespresso machine and small fridge. Lots of water pressure.
Walkability: 15-20 walk to Bolton Landing and a handful of restaurants
Noteworthy details: Very, very expensive EV charging.

Don’t go if you don’t have kids. Full stop.
The location is gorgeous it’s a shame because it feels wasted. Kids everywhere and little parental control. Additionally our room was a bit dated and the air conditioner made a screeching noise the entire time. We asked to have it serviced but no one ever came.

We enjoyed everything about our recent 3-night stay. I'm sure rooms and suites vary a lot at this beautiful and expansive resort, and our lodge room was rather ordinary, but it was still comfortable (though a small microwave would have been nice to have). Services and staff at the front desk, restaurant, shuttle, The Morgan, etc., etc., were all top-notch, and the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings can't be beat. Even the weather was glorious for every minute of our stay, so thanks for arranging that as well. (ha ha)
Nearby activities: The boat tour of Lake George on The Morgan, which docks at the Sagamore, provides a relaxing and beautiful excursion. Another must-see activity is to visit and tour historic Fort Ticonderoga on Lake Champlain, which is reached by a scenic and enjoyable 40-mile drive along beautiful Adirondack roads.
Noteworthy details: The main hotel has beautiful terraces, lawns, gardens, pools, dining facilities, and gathering places that overlook picturesque Lake George. Most room accommodations are in lodges located on the expansive woodsy property surrounding the main hotel, each with its own convenient parking lot, plus sidewalks and paths leading everywhere, in addition to shuttle services readily available all over the resort. Guests are also well-served by the abundant number of courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable staff members.

These people are ridiculous. Save your money. Coming for a corporate event and have contracted covid. They wont cancel the reservation, they keep insisting I need to come for a personal visit instead. In this day and age... honestly. I'll be checking this brand off the list of places to stay. I travel globally every year and have over fifteen hundred nights in hotels and resorts lifetime. None will be in an opal collections location moving forward.

The Sagamore is simply stunning. We couldn't ask for a more picture perfect fall weekend for our first time in Lake George. It was a much needed parents weekend away. The staff is spectacular from the front desk to the Morgan boat cruise tour. We stayed in one of the lodges and the rooms were great with a beautiful view of the bay. Set your expectations in terms of rooms. It's an old building and it's meant to feel like a lodge so if you're seeking something ultra modern this isn't it, which is what I loved. The food and drinks were wonderful. La Bella Vita breakfast was wonderful, especially the Lobster Benedict. Only comment is the service was hit or miss with long waits at times or needing to ask multiple times for a drink you ordered but the views are amazing and sometimes you need to remember to slow down and everyone is doing the best they can.
Rooms: Loved the lodge! Beautiful rooms and views.
Nearby activities: Lovely little town in Bolton and hiking trails 10 minutes away.
Safety: I felt safe the entire time.
Walkability: Tons! Lots of walking paths. Bring comfortable shoes.
Food and drinks: Excellent!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our "baby moon" at the Sagamore. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating, and the whole resort has great amenities and activities onsite. Surround by a small but bustling community at Bolton Landing, we thoroughly enjoyed or long weekend this Fall.

We just spent three nights at the Sagamore, and it was absolutely spectacular! Our trip was inspired by the amazing episode featuring the Sagamore on Life of Luxury with Judge Jeanine, hosted by Kerry Kane. Meeting Kerry in person was a highlight; she was so warm and welcoming, which truly made our stay special. We also had Wes (Wellesley) as our waiter for dinner each night, and he was fabulous and incredibly attentive. The gift shop staff as well as valet, reception, maid service, Darlene at the Spa - were truly spectacular! The whole experience was so lovely that we’ve already booked our next visit! (P.S. the brussels sprouts were amazing - a must try!)
