Bought my 582 HHR Big Dawg in Feb 2011 and it is still operating flawlessly. I would highly recommend Scott and his team. You can't have an engine built locally for this kind of money. Good quality parts and great skilled engine builders.

They said their carb was set for my engine. I could never jet it high enough to not run lean. Needless to say after 4 half passes and 11 full passes the engine took a dump. 6 bad pistons and both heads damaged. No one seemed to care either

Purchased a 540 and installed it. Ran great. Changed the oil and found metal. Builders fault right. Wrong! Didn’t space the water pump correctly and pushed against front cover causing bearing behind cover damage. They took care of it in 1 day. What other builder does that. Praise for the Shafiroff team. Not only a great engine, but a team that stands behind it. Can’t wait for my next build!

When a person buys a race motor and carb make it ran run so lean that you hurt it in 15 runs no matter how many jet sizes you go up. 9 jet sizes and the motor was still lean. It took out 6 pistons and damaged the heads. 4 half passes and 11 full passes. They really had nothing to say. Really didn't care. The motor is at BC Performance being rebuilt
