Website is outdated (they said the site owner locked them out). I spoke to Tim on the phone and in person. He was friendly and explained everything clearly. The 15 person van I rented was clean inside and out, had a full tank of gas, and ran great. I shopped around, and they have the best rates for comparable rentals. I'd definitely recommend A-Car Rental.

The website is totally out of date and the person who finally answered the phone treated me badly for asking questions because there is no info on the website. 1star is rating their online info and phone service, no idea how they are if you actually get to rent a car.

Read all the bad reviews about this company, but was in a bind and reached out to book a 15 passenger van. Sent credit card information and insurance information in and they didn't accept insurance. Called my insurance company and had them revise the paperwork to adhere to their request, they didn't accept it again. Asked my insurance company to provide the information the way A-Car Rental wanted it listed and the insurance company explained that this was not the way to do it and the additional driver information that they provided was what any rental company would need. Sensing that this was not a smart move to rent from them, I explained that the insurance company had said and that I wouldn't be renting. This was done well prior to the rental date. I never got a response from A-Car Rental so I thought it was a dead issue. Review my books at the end of the month and they charged me a $104 deposit. $100 for a non-refundable deposit and $4 for a credit card processing fee that was not posted anywhere. That's not the way to conduct business. If there was an issue with the paperwork, it should have been a dead deal. To find out that I'm being charged a deposit on a transaction that never got off the ground because they didn't approve the insurance documents my insurance company was providing is ridiculous! Be careful when doing business with this company, read all reviews.

This place is terrible. After calling Tim everyday for two weeks for a car rental I was finally promised a car, altho it had just been involved in a crash. I was headed for a family reunion and had to agree. I sent in all my papers, but could not get it on the Thursday I arrived b/c he closes at 6:00. When I called the next day, even though I had spoken with him everyday for 2 weeks and submitted the paperwork 2 days before, he said he did not remember me. He then told me he did not have a car for me. He didn't call in advance to let me know and I had to take a taxi to the nearby airport to get a rental which I could and should have done to begin with. Stay away!
