I went in with my MIL to look at cats but I decided to look through the dogs I felt instantly drawn to mullberry ( now loki). My husband and I went back to visit him , did application process and did a meet with our other dog, we brought him home and I can honestly say he is by far the best dog ever! Loves to cuddle and him and our danesky are 2 peas in a pod! Thank you to the wonderful staff at the humane society that made our family even more complete❤️

Friendly staff very helpful, and they treat the dogs very well and the cats and they love Every single animal in there that goes in and out and they are so helpful with spying in neutering. Your dog and cats. And they also help you with knowing more details in help you with applications. And you can even write the animal's name on the application and it will help them.

We lost our angel Priya to liver disease. Life's not the same but I know she would want us to help another dog like we helped her.I'm on their website every day, finally went down and walked the halls. We didn't find the one we wanted this time but we will.Thank you to all the organizations like this place. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers. God Bless you all and the animals.

The staff at the BCHS are amazing ? They have the animals best interest first and foremost. They work hard to ensure the dogs/cats are well cared for. The kennels are clean and well maintained. They provide a well needed service for unwanted, homeless and sometimes neglected animals in our community. They are friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. A huge shoutout to all the staff and volunteers at the BCHS!

These are the people that provide a net of services aimed at creatures without many choices in life through no fault of their ownOnly special people can provide these services on a routine basisWe should all be so lucky!

The place itself is decent, the animals seem to be very well cared for and the staff is verynice. However my issue is the adoption process. (For the dogs). I’m not exactly sure how many applicants they allow for one because I’ve seen mixed responses in regards to that. I’m completely fine with the “first come first serve” but if you’re already planning on giving the dog to the first family that applied then maybe let the other know the dog is on hold pending applicant review. Let them fill out an application and if things fall through they’ll be next to consider but do not allow the other people to visit that dog while in queue. Y’all allow families to visit with a dog knowing damn well they may not get him/her and it’s messed up. Then you leave them hanging with no response after they’ve gotten their hopes up and bonded with the animal. Like I said maybe it’s not the best idea but y’all gotta come up with a better alternative for the adoption process than the current system cause this ain’t right especially during the holiday season. I completely fell in love with a dog only to have her ripped away and given to the people who applied first. You should’ve never let me have a one on one when you knew your intentions from jump….should’ve let me fill out the application and sent me on my way. If the first family fell through then you call the next in line to set up an appointment for contact. Now I’m left heartbroken, I was so excited to get a dog for Christmas. I was very traumatized when my dog died 10 years ago and it took all this for me to be ready for another animal. But due to this situation I don’t even want one anymore…EVER. So thank you Binghamton humane society for flaring my PTSD.
